Problems in Dusseldorf???
 
Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if there are weather related delays in Dusseldorf today.

We have just arrived at Miami to check in for our flight and have been told that there is a 4 hour delay due to weather in Dusseldorf.

We were supposed to travel out to Miami last week on this flight (LH466) and the flight was eventually cancelled due to technical problems with the aircraft. It took 5 hours of waiting in line to get re-booked onto Swiss via Zurich and we had to overnight in Dusseldorf.

I'm beginning to suspect that the same aircraft has been playing up again:(

Weather in DUS was fine today.

LH 466 is running 230 mins late now. Ouch

LH437 came in almost seven hours late today from ORD.

I can confirm: Visibility from my house close to DUS close to 20 km, cold winter day, no snow, dry.

I guess the aircraft was stuck in ORD then.

A friend of mine called from Windsor (ON) today and they were in the middle of a snowstorm. Similar weather in Chicago appears to be likely...

No storm in Chicago: LH436 diverted back to FRA and got into ORD only at 8.30p. LH437 then left the gate at 10.45p. Tough luck.
