Luxair flights now eligible for status and HON miles
You can now earn status and HON miles as well as executive bonus on Luxair, at least according to the M&M website:
http://www.miles-and-more.com/online...l=en&cid=18002
The mileage amounts also increased to the M&M standard (at least for some booking classes).

Not sure what "All flights operated by Luxair are counted as European domestic flights." means.
This seems to be new - the Google cache from one week ago (2008-11-21 20:21) still shows award miles only (sorry for formatting):

Very interesting news. LH wants to attract LUX based clients (who could also easily use AF or BA for long-haul overseas flights)
Any news on Brussels airlines being soon a M&M partner?

As for l/h-attraction: Luxair serves the hubs of and codeshares on those flights with both LH and AF. In fact, LH holds 13% in Luxair. I seem to remember that it was quite a bit more some years ago. Also, if my memory is right, AF was a shareholder aswell, but that is no longer the case. Neither do I recollect the mileage credit on AF.
Anyway, I flew LG into FRA and CDG a number of times to go on from there. Back then, LG used a gate at Roissy 2D, while it usually was a remote position for the early morning 737 at FRA. Roissy 2 can be so much nicer than FRA

The next contradiction: The German website still only states award miles on LG:
http://www.miles-and-more.com/online...l=de&cid=18002
Last but not least, no status miles on MS and LG here: PDF

Finance may not be be what it once was. But I can think of some banking places which would like to have the size of LUX. And yes, there are some nice travel budgets.
LH will not get them just for the sake of those status miles on LUX-FRA segments. But LUX is, and probably will remain even after consolidation in the industry, one of the places with notable competition. So it may well be worth every little effort.

It is a very simple concept that is one of the key reasons for LHs decentral flying in Germany and their recent acquisitions.

Status miles would definitly be an incentive to fly with Luxair.
I had the pleasure three years ago and liked the nice little airline.
But I beleive it when it is on the german version. It may be only a bug that came with the new m&m website...
As with M&L real improvements are very rare

Probably just one more contradiction - either this phrase or the table with the "International European flights" doesn't make sense.

Great move by LH!
I think LUX is a bigger market than many people know.
As for the "bigshots" wanting the status miles- my suggestion is that it is probably more an "annoyance" factor they are taking away from some very good customers by adding the status miles as opposed to customers choosing their airline based on this. From what I understand, there is a pretty good long-haul F market that originates from LUX area- some very interesting companies there.
For me, personally, this is nice as I will pick up a few status miles with this now.

IMO, it's better to wait till M&M makes an official announcement. For me, it actually looks more like an IT-bug (either in the English, or more hopefully, in the German version).
LG doesn't mention anything on it's website about status benefits:
http://www.luxair.lu/cms/luxair.php?p=EN,795,31,,1,
They also still have their own "courtesy card", which would probably have become obsolete when they offer status miles:
http://www.luxair.lu/cms/luxair.php?p=EN,803,30,,1,
Who will be the guinea-pig and tries out what will actually be credited?
