Winter Schedule: Privatair FRA-EWR cancelled, aircraft re-deployed to serve FRA-DXB

As of 01NOV2008, Lufthansa will offer an additional Businessjet flight to Dubai:

LH632: FRA 20:35* - DXB 05:45*
LH633: DXB 07:15* - FRA 11:35*
*Local time

Flights will not operate 24DEC2008-01JAN2009

To enable this offer the Lufthansa Businessjet flight Frankfurt - New York (LH484/485) will be canceled as of 01NOV2008.

Introductory special ex DE:
1648,- + taxes/fees/YQs

Sale - 20OCT2008-23NOV2008
Travel - 01NOV2008-14DEC2008
Fare Base - ZINTRO7
Only valid on LH 632/LH 633
14 days ADVP
4 day min stay

And don't forget the new Privatair service MUC-BOS this winter. First time there is a winter flight MUC-BOS.

A FRA-DXB night flight is great . I wonder why LH does not offer multiple daily flights to DXB from their key hub year-round (like AF, BA, etc.).

The flight will be operated by a BBJ2 with 56 seats instead of the old BBJ1 currently serving the EWR route...

the route planning and yiel management team works apparently much faster (dramatic decline in TATL but fully booked UAE flights) than the marketing team.

Quick question: What is the difference between BBJ1 and BBJ2? Is the seat different?

Just now digested the flight times: 07:15 am back from DXB to FRA is much too early. For most passengers it will mean leaving the hotel at around 5:15 am to make sure they are at the airport on time. Why would you do that? Personally, I would much better take the LH nightflight at around 2 am and have a real business class on a B747 than such an early bird.

Very annoying.

Maybe, but this early departure from DXB works very well if you want to connect to a bunch of other long-haul flights.

I agree.

The whole flight should be 2 hours later. Arriving at 05.45 am in DXB means that are at the hotel at 06.45. At this time it's sometime difficult to get a room, 2 hours later it's usually no problem.

Actually, it should be even earlier, thereby allowing connections to two of the biggest DXB-US markets, with IAH and LAX...

Pretty confident, though that LH should do fine anyway, even without offering conx to some major US markets.
