It's bad, that HKG is not offered. But of course a great deal.

They sold NKG and SHE für € 399 incl. tax last week - now it's 40k miles + ~ € 250 in taxes.

That's not a good deal in my eyes, even if it's w/o the dealbreaking 7d-minimum stay of last week's offer.

I consider the offer should be from all european airports, like AF/KLM does with the intercontinental promo awards.
After all if LH wants to fill out the planes when occupation is low, it would help to make a broader offer.
Taxes and other fees would be collected on top.

i always ask myself why people have to complain about those milage spend promotions. actually 40000 miles is a 50% disount from 80.000 (or 77.000) miles such an award costs normally.

Well, if you consider 80k miles + tax a fair deal in the first place, then 50% off has got to be a good deal.

I'll concede, both 80k and 40k can be a very welcome deal: When and if it saves you a €-paid ticket in one of the higher fare classes. I used the current Euro-promotion myself and spent 10k+10k to save me € 750 on a ticket to Nice.

At least NKG and SHE show up in deals all the time, though, and if I want to go there, I'd rather pay € 400 - 700 than 40k miles + (at least) € 250 in tax.

Fares might be different for ICN und PUS.

The late fall special to CAN, NKG, PEK, PVG and SHEN is back: books into U, fares of € 399 / € 499 incl. TSC on lh.de, 7d min. stay, valid for travel in Nov. and Dec., return until 30JAN, book by 19AUG (UNNWDF)

http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...nodeid=1937836

Also, the other China special for RIGHT NOW is still around: NKG at € 599, SHE at € 629 incl. TSC, books into W, 7d min. stay (WELCOME).

http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...bemode=special

Finally, I stumbled across some decent fares to ICN for late August / early September: ~ € 900 incl. tax in W and w/o 7d-rule (sunday-rule applies)
