Is the 7 day rule enforced?

for example flight was booked within 7 days of departure, but cancelled within 24hrs of making the booking

Has the refund timeline improved at all? I made a reservation on June 25th and cancelled it within an hour of making it. I have a cancellation confirmation email from LH saying that since it was within 24 hours of making the reservation, it will be refunded regardless of the fare conditions. The charge on my AMEX was earlier pending and now it has gotten posted. I have emailed Lufthansa as well as raised a dispute with Amex and have sent them the cancellation confirmation email. The only reason I am asking is because it is close to my statement closing date and I dont want to pay the $1600 out of my pocket in cash.

Just validating if the 24h refund policy is still in place? And do I need to book on the US version of LH.com or can I use any version?

I am looking at a combined LX / LH itinerary for next week that I am desperate to book, but for which final client confirmation will likely only come after I have gone to bed tonight...

Edited to add:

Found this page which is helpful https://www.lufthansa.com/ch/de/stor...und-erstattung

Heard a rumour that the 24h grace period for Eurowings tickets shall become a thing of the past. Can anyone comment on that?

DOT regulations require airlines that have service to the US to have a 24h free cancelation policy. So LH/EW/LX/OS is doing this partly out of legal requirements.

Does it definitely still exist for non-US services though?

Can I make an online award booking leaving in less than 24 hours, call in phone agent to add segments without a fee? I can't book online since it's an overnight layover

XXX-MUC overnight
MUC-LAX

However, two phone agents couldn't even see the MUC-LAX business class award space, stating the online inventory is different than the phone. Is that correct?

No, online award bookngs cannot be modified to add additional segments. you need to ask the agent to waitlist the segments that they can't see availability for.
