They have added an alert during the booking process to inform passengers that a short-haul aircraft will be used, with a link explaining what to expect:
https://www.lufthansa.com/xx/en/book...w-destinations
Economy Class passengers will get a credit of 5,000 award miles and Business Class passengers 10,000 miles.
The webpage ends with : "From February 2019, Lufthansa will make every possible effort to be able to offer on-board service with matching seating comfort." They don't seem very proud of their product.

Don‘t worry too much, this is a result of the (false) automatic liquidation by the Swiss government due to a financial error, which has now been resolved and the liquidation status revoked. But due to bureaucracy the german AOC was still pulled automatically due to that liquidation status. But I am certain this as well is going to be resolved.

Sorry, but the story is available in German only:

LH will stop operating the PNQ flight (for now) at the end of January. They are looking for a new partner to operate this flight in 2019 or other internal alternatives.
