IFE in Privatair 737-700
So FRA-PNQ is now operated by a 737-700 instead of the 737-800 that was used earlier. Does anyone know whether these Privatair birds have any IFE in coacch? I will be traveling end of Feb FRA-PNQ and will have my 4yo daughter with me - so trying to gauge what entertainment options I will have on board...
thanks for the info on advance...

The 737-700 shown on Privatair's website shows seatback IFE in economy:

FRA-PNQ No Longer?
I flew from FRA to PNQ on June 27, but my return on July 7 was canceled. Reviewing flightstats, it seems that the last flight was on June 29 and this route does not show up as available when booking future flights.
Did something happen to the special 737 plane used on this route? Or did an agreement between LH and Privatair expire?

Its seems Privatair went bust at the end of June and abruptly ended the agreement with LH. ADD is being served with an A330 but PNQ (due its small runway that cannot take widebodies) had to be suspended.

Oh wow! That means I was one of the last to fly the route. I also then saw the second last flight to PNQ taking off on the 28th.

Does anyone know if LH or any other carrier will pick up this route from Privatair? Transiting in FRA (or somewhere in Europe for that matter) and flying into PNQ is much better than flying to BOM and driving 4+ hours in traffic (and getting car sick!)

Right now you just have 9W to AUH and AI and SG to DXB. PNQ ops only allow B737 or A32S aircraft, so major carriers will struggle to fly there. LH has a lot of pressure from VW and other German clients to get the route working again.

I'm sure someone will pick up the Privatair aircraft and LH has to just renegotiate the contract with the new operator. Alternatively I'm sure they can wetlease a Etihad A320 with 2 cabin config...

All,
My family flew business class EWR-FRA-PNQ in June and they were supposed to return on July 17 from PNQ-FRA-EWR. I was just contacted by the travel agent that LUFTHANSA HAS STOPPED OPERATING PNQ-FRA sector. Was offered PNQ-DEL-FRA-EWR with a 27 hr total traveling time (as against 19hrs). I was told by the travel agent that this is the best they can do.
I was furious and contacted Lufthansa. Was initially told nothing can be done....told them I DO NOT accept the change. Next was offered PNQ-DEL-EWR with a wait time of 12 hours in Delhi airport. Again told them no. They can't expect two females wait at Delhi airport for 12 hours.
Finally, they gave me PNQ-DEL-JFK, which I reluctantly accepted....(not bad but what can I do?? better than getting my spouse's ire )
Not sure why all of a sudden PNQ-FRA is cancelled....is this normal? or the sector is non-profitable?

I suppose its too late now, but you could have tried LHs flight via Chennai, theres an AI flight from PNQ-MAA (with a stop in HYD, no change of planes), that would only give you a few hours in MAA versus 12 in DEL.

On the 16th or 17th, AI101 via DEL is the shortest option (19h):
