Be aware: the Tel Aviv flights of LH out of MUC departs in Terminal 1 F!

Although LH residences normally in Terminal 2 including all connection flights and the partner airlines, the flight to Tel Aviv operates due the stronger security level for the Israel flights from T1 F.

So, there is a terminal change required. Takes a little more time.

Are you sure your flight from VCE arrives at 6:45am? I can only find VCE-MUC 06:45-08:05 (LH4105) and MUC-TLV 09:20-13:55 (LH688) on lufthansa.com. This means 1 hr 15 mins to connect rather than 1 hr 20 mins. However, the good news is since Lufthansa sells a ticket connecting these flights, they should take care of you if by any chance you misconnect provided that the flights are on the same ticket.

Not anymore - LH got special permission to let connecting passengers fly to TLV out of T2. A special bus will take the passengers from T2 to the aircraft.

Oh, you're right - I copied and pasted the wrong info. The connecting time is from 8:05 to 9:20. Thanks for the heads up.
And if they do leave out of T2, does that mean no customs / security?
Thanks everyone!

Ah, sounds nice, because changing the terminal is not so comfortable.

Thanks for the updated information,

I haven't connected through MUC for a while but looking at flight arrivals on lh.com many shorthaul flights now seem to arrive at bus gates (T2S for Schengen, T2N for non-Schengen). I don't think there were so many bus gate arrivals at MUC in the past. Is this something new? Not having to ride a bus used to be one of the advantages of MUC over FRA.

Guys: Wife and toddler are flying ORD-MUC on UA906 and MUC-BOM on LH764
I am joining them in MUC for LH764

Question: I believe that I will have to go through PP control. Can I meet them at the UA arrival gate or I will need to go LH764 gate?
thanks.

You can not.

Connecting passengers coming from certain non schengen countries, EU deems unsafe have to be seperated and security screened before they are allowed into the non schengen connection area.

To facilitate this, they built an additional level on the roof of MUC terminal 2.
Pax are fed into a central area from where you can either go to

a) Immigrate to go to the Exits/Luggage
b) Immigrate to enter Schengen/Domestic Gate Area G after an additional sec check
c) Enter Non Schengen Gate Area H after an additional sec check.

The earliest possibilitie to meet your wife and kid is after the sec check when they enter Gate Area H

Unless you also come in on an international non schengen flight, you could wait in the feeding area on the top floor, but this is an awful place to wait, no chairs, no shops, no benches, nothing. Only people mover/conveyor and some toilets.

Is there a business class lounge / Senartor lounge in this area? Thanks for clarifying.

It is a walkway built on top of the roof to feed passengers from unsafe non schengen countries to the security check/immigration center. There is NOTHING but toilets. Passengers are not expect to stay there. I guess if you do, they will ask you to move on.
Concourse H (Non Schengen) and G (Schengen) offer Business/FTL, Senator and First Class Lounge, many restaurants and shops.
My advice: Wait for them airside concourse H after security check.

mamb0 is right, I was referring to the H level, non Schengen departures. I suggest you go there and wait in the SEN lounge. Your family can then join you there.

Is 35 minutes too short for a connection TLV-MUN-LHR?

Looking at booking a TLV-MUN-LHR redemption flight (BD miles) with just 35 minutes connection time. (TLV flight arrives at 18:30 and flight to LHR leaves 19:05)
Sounds a bit tight to me, what do you guys think?

Only reason I was thinking of this rather than via FRA was the fact that it would get me home earlier.

Anyway I am totally unfamiliar with MUN airport so have no idea...
