It helps if you tell us which country you will be arriving from and what passport you hold. If you are arriving from an “unclean” non-Schengen country you will have to clear security as well as passport control. Holding an EU passport helps considerably as you can use e-passport gates.

Passport control in T2 Satellite (L > K) is usually quieter than in T2 (H > G) but both arrival and departure gates could change from day to day.

I just missed a 40 min MUC transfer from L to G (not K), but with an infant (which excluded the automatic passport control and slowed us down).

Passport is USA Arriving from San Francisco, CA going to Paris. L30 tends to be the arrival gate and K18-16 departure gate. Does LH close the doors early to Europe flights?

I am eligible for Easy PASS however, I have to stop in a police federation to sign up. Wouldn't help as its a tight connection.

Later this month, I will be transiting through Munich on my way to Mumbai from Newark. I am arriving on LH413 and departing on LH766
The only problem is that the connection time is barely 50 minutes. I did buy this ticket directly from Lufthansa on their website so
I assume this is a legal connection - although admittedly it is very tight. So the big question is whether I will be able to make it.
I will be in business class - not sure if there are any special security lanes for business class passengers. (added: I am a US Passport
holder and traveling alone).
Thanks in advance for any help.

Arriving from the US and leaving for another non-Schengen country, there is no need to clear security or passport control in MUC. At best you need to walk from the arrival gate to the departure gate in the same concourse. At worst you will have to take the shuttle between the main terminal and the satellite. 50 minutes should be enough for this connection unless the incoming flight is very late.

Thats a relief :-) This is my first time transiting through Munich - I usually go through Frankfurt which is a different story altogether!

Indeed! There won't be any surprises regarding arrival gates as you might find in FRA.

Is 1h30min enough to connect LH1947 GOA-MUC to LH2500 MUC-MAN?
Is it a tight connection considering I will need to clear passport control?

I would say it is more than enough. Even if your inbound would be delayed by 30 Minutes you would still have enough time, even with the EN flight on an outside position requiring a bus to the Satellite and then the train to the main T2 building. That is MUC...

I suppose that the return connection LH2503 MAN-MUC to LH1946 MUC-GOA of 1h30min should be fine as well, if the last leg is not canceled, which happens rather often.

In FRA, anything under 60 minutes is worrying, 90 minutes in MUC is more than comfortable. Expect to spend some time at the lounge.

Yes, MUC is arguably the best LH group transfer option
