As we now official start is on Novembre the first, but LH has started testing it today as I just got picked up from my flight from STR. Another HON on the same flight wasn't picked up as they're only testing it on a few HONs so far.
p.s. as some people mentioned the service in the FCT is getting worse, I've been sitting here for almost half an hour and no one bothered to offer me a drink yet..

I believe that every F/HON pax should be picked up when a flight is arriving at an apron position.
Of course, tight F/HON connections should aways have a pickup/escort.

Part of the letter says, that as a HON travelling in F you are welcome to join the bus for the F pax in order to get fastest possible transfer to the terminal.
Somehow I sensed from the wording, that this F pickup is already in place. Had no longhaul tarmac arrival for quite a long time now.

didn't work in VIE a month ago, I was explicitly told by the driver that the pick up service was for HONs only and as an arriving F pax I have the unique opportunity to enjoy the bus. However, the HON was still by the luggage belt when we got there, so no hard feelings

I was talking about FRA. Did not explicitely mention it, since this thread is titled: New FCT service in the making. Or did I miss something regarding FCT in VIE.
Same in FRA. When I arrived from LAX last week, I was at the luggage belt about 5-10 mins after leaving the aircraft. It took another 30 mins (in words: Thirty ) until the carousel started and at this time of the day it did not look busy around.
Still got my bag as the first one.

The car service though is only for HON arriving on an apron position - for any F pax whos plane arrive at an apron position - there will be a seperate bus for transport to arrival side.
bear in mind this refers to the longhaul arrival in F - for any arrival at apron position to connect to F - there will be no pick up service - unless pax is HON.
Cheers

To me a F pax is and always was a pax on board a longhaul aircraft. On a connection intra-Europe there can be no F pax obviously.

...And another observation - don't know if others have experienced this as well. I have now arrived as an HON at SVO, DME (on LX), EWR, JNB, NBO, LOS, ALA and have NEVER been offered any kind of arrivals service. I thought this was standard for arrivals at airports outside the EU?
Forget about (voluntary) HON service in Africa. They will keep telling you, that they don't have enough staff. However, if you come to a specific African airport more frequently, just ask for the station manager, introduce yourself nicelyand explain patientlywhat kind of service you are expecting for your future trips. You will be amazed about the personal attention you will get from the day when you took a little time to build a relationship.

So if you want to be picked up on the apron when flying F, make LH/OS/LX to (re)introduce intra-European F
