BOS to MUC July 2008 - is there a first class cabin?
Rookie LH question (95% of my time is on UA/SQ). I've read a number of posts about LH not having a first class cabin on certain long haul routes. Flying BOS to MUC in July 2008 non-stop (LH 425/424) is there a first class cabin?

Welcome to the LH board speedytimmy . You can certainly book LH424/425 at lufthansa.com as first class on a A340-300 at the moment for next July so the answer is "yes", there should be a 3 class service for you.

Having flown F into MUC in June of this year, the service was great. Enjoy!!
Personally, I like the 340 1-2-1 in two rows layout better than the 747 2-2 x 4 upper deck. The same number of FA for half as many passengers.
By next year, the new MUC FCL should be open and any bugs worked out. If you have a connection and the MCT is too tight to visit the lounge, they'll shepard you through security, immigration, and customs in between limo rides (yes, rides - one to handle the formalities and one to your plane) to your next flight.

The MUC FCL has already been opened. No known bugs yet.
