End of year mileage run ideas on LH?

I need to rack up an additional 3000 EQM on UAMP to make *Gold status for the year. I live in Europe and so I've made almost all my United EQM this year on LH and LX metal. I have realized that I will be 3000 miles short of 50K flying miles and so I need to try and do a MR

I have two trip before the end of the year - LHR-MAD and LHR-CAI. Can anybody think of *economical* ways of turning either/both of these into MRs that will yield an extra 3K miles?

There are heaps of MR ideas both here and in the Swiss forum (check out the LX weekend business fares).

Sadly UA MP credits far less miles for C travel on OS/LH/LX than LH M&M

I need to run one idea past the SEN/FTL run experts, which I proposed to rampant last weekend:

BWI SEA on US anytime after 11 MAY
Fare AA0UPNC 379.00 OW 758.00 R 3 transfers allowed

Routing BWI-CLT-PHX-LAS-SEA vv

M&M Miles earned in A: 1500+(1771*3)+1500+(868*3)=10917

So with a return you could earn about 22000 status and bonus miles for aprox 1000$ (4.6 cents/EQM)

The trip with ample time to connect at each airport (aprox 3h) can be done in one day for the outbound:

flight Mon 12-May-08
Baltimore (BWI) Depart 7:00 am to Charlotte (CLT) Arrive 8:26 am
362 mi (583 km) Duration: 1hr 26mn
US US Airways Flight: 1933 1First Class, Boeing 737-400

flight Mon 12-May-08
Charlotte (CLT) Depart 11:35 am to Phoenix (PHX) Arrive 1:19 pm Terminal 4
1,771 mi (2,850 km) Duration: 4hr 44mn
US US Airways Flight: 1643 1First Class, Lunch, Airbus A320

flight Mon 12-May-08
Phoenix (PHX) Depart 4:57 pm Terminal 4 to Las Vegas (LAS) Arrive 6:06 pm Terminal 1
255 mi (410 km) Duration: 1hr 9mn
US US Airways Flight: 294 1First Class, Airbus A320

flight Mon 12-May-08
Las Vegas (LAS) Depart 9:32 pm Terminal 1 to Seattle (SEA) Arrive 12:06 am +1 day
868 mi (1,397 km) Duration: 2hr 34mn
US US Airways Flight: 296 1First Class, Airbus A320
Ignoring for a moment that he has to endure US F for quite a few hours, is this worth it?

With the executive bonus you will get an additional 375+590+375+289=1629 miles each way.
So definitely a nice routing. Great find ^^. Too bad I don't need anything until next year.
I would be worried a bit about the connection in PHX. On the other hand, the stop in Vegas is long enough to actually visit the strip.

Don't worry about the PHX transfer, did JFK-PHX-LAS last year on US with 2 hours layover in PHX and had plenty of time to even get something to eat at the airport. Are you sure you didn't mean PHL to worry about instead of PHX?

This is actually a nice routing for 1k USD (especially for us Europeans given the USD exchange rates at the moment).

Exactly - I almost missed an LH connection at PHL because of US transits...but luckily LH was delayed...! (I had a Charlotte transit as well from EWR! )
