End of year mileage run ideas on LH?
I need to rack up an additional 3000 EQM on UAMP to make *Gold status for the year. I live in Europe and so I've made almost all my United EQM this year on LH and LX metal. I have realized that I will be 3000 miles short of 50K flying miles and so I need to try and do a MR
I have two trip before the end of the year - LHR-MAD and LHR-CAI. Can anybody think of *economical* ways of turning either/both of these into MRs that will yield an extra 3K miles?

There are heaps of MR ideas both here and in the Swiss forum (check out the LX weekend business fares).
Sadly UA MP credits far less miles for C travel on OS/LH/LX than LH M&M

I need to run one idea past the SEN/FTL run experts, which I proposed to rampant last weekend:
BWI SEA on US anytime after 11 MAY
Fare AA0UPNC 379.00 OW 758.00 R 3 transfers allowed
Routing BWI-CLT-PHX-LAS-SEA vv
M&M Miles earned in A: 1500+(1771*3)+1500+(868*3)=10917
So with a return you could earn about 22000 status and bonus miles for aprox 1000$ (4.6 cents/EQM)
The trip with ample time to connect at each airport (aprox 3h) can be done in one day for the outbound:
Ignoring for a moment that he has to endure US F for quite a few hours, is this worth it?

So definitely a nice routing. Great find ^^. Too bad I don't need anything until next year.
I would be worried a bit about the connection in PHX. On the other hand, the stop in Vegas is long enough to actually visit the strip.

With the executive bonus you will get an additional 375+590+375+289=1629 miles each way.

This is actually a nice routing for 1k USD (especially for us Europeans given the USD exchange rates at the moment).
