That's no wonder. Brussels Airlines is the former bancrupted SABENA (Such A Bad Experience Never Again).

4000 mile mileage run

What is the best (cheapest and most convenient) way to make a mileage run?
I need 4000 status miles until end of year.

If 3752 miles are sufficient, make either:

-2 LH-rtf* (about 100€ each)
-One LX-roundtrip in V-Class via ZRH (several destinations in Europe) for about 200€.

Otherwise, add one LH-rtf*-flight...

Go for Swiss weekend business specials ex ZRH. Shouldn't be too difficult to get to ZRH from MUC.

For LX-weekend-specials ex ZRH, you have to add 178 EUR (LTUR W-Class, gives 1876 miles) for the transfer ex-MUC...

I have never done an LX-weekend-special this year for MR-purpouses...

Post Ready-To-Fly also an option

Ready-To-Fly gives you 500 Miles per national and 750 per international leg. If you are FTL/SEN, you can add 25%.
Actually, you could still book
Fr 9 Nov 11:25München 12:25 Zürich LH3744 1h00 Economy Saver (S)
So 11 Nov 20:50Zürich 21:50 München LH3751 1h00 Economy Saver (S)
for €100 and then take this weeks Business Weekend Special.

Personal mileage run: TXL-FRA-YYZ-FRA-TXL

Last weekend I did my personal mileage run – TXL-FRA-YYZ-FRA-TXL. Unfortunately, I hadn’t kept too close track of the miles to be earnt – according to mileage calculation when booking (V class) it would have been 8.904 + 3.250 miles. In reality though, it’s 8.904 + 2.226 miles. Which leaves me short of some silly 93 miles for FTL requalification. I send an inquiry to LH M&M, but will do some intra-German flights still, so it should be ok in the end.
Anyway, it was a lovely crazy weekend in Toronto

Btw, they boarded flight LH470 FRA-YYZ by busses (from a non-bus gate) and had passengers enter the plane from the front and from the back, quite mad ...

Any suggestions for a maximum mile run before the Advents DO dinner in FRA, ex-FRA? I will be flying into FRA in the early morning hours. (around 0700)

I was thinking of doing a LX fare to CPH (for shopping) and back, via ZRH....wish I could do the LX specials over the weekend!

I need to renew 1K, so have to look for some routings on Sunday, evening as well - possibly even on Monday after the DO...

Oh yes, *no* SK routings please! My boycott of them is still on!

VIE-FRA-PRG-FRA-VIE in C

Did not screen this thread thoroughly, thus please excuse when already posted.

I am using from time these tickets, all flights booked under LH code, OS or JP metal from/to VIE possible, price EUR 668 plus tax, all in actually EUR 844,49,
fare base CFLEXA20.

Seems to work also for other german airports as a stop on the way from VIE to PRG.

Quite good price for 10.000 miles.....

Cheers,
Thomas

FRA or MUC-ZRH-MXP and back with LX costs about half the price. 844 EUR for 10'000 miles is IMHO not a suitable ratio for a pure mileage run. Everything below 500 EUR / 10'000 is a good deal!

Rorschi, how about BSL - PRG on Sunday? CHF 199 for 5'000 Miles (SEN-Bonus).
