Hello everyone, I'm looking to go LHR-VIE-ZAG with a 45m connection in June - so non-Schengen to non-Schengen (probably non-EU to EU also by that tim)
Is this feasible / advisable with two healthy adults plus a lap infant? Anything I should look out for?
Thanks!

Anyway I've decided against the option as TG wanted 40000 miles plus 279 GBP YQ PER ADULT. Hahahahahaha... No thanks.

Connection questions for VIE
Hi , we have upcoming flights on OS with a three hour layover. LAX-VIE-CPH. It’s J ticket. A few questions please
After we deplane, will we likely go to a different terminal, and then security again? If so, is there a Fast Track system for J passengers? Is security strict with liquids in carryons? (Like at LHR where they seem to inspect every thing!)
is is there a business lounge for either OS or Star Alliance on the way?
And also please,Where will the passport check fall into this ?
thanks so much !

OS - OS connection is no change of terminal, just a concourse (effectively upstairs/downstairs situation).
Security might or might not happen on non-Schengen arrival, though I think US arrivals are clean in Vienna. I might be wrong.
Security will be strict with liquids if brought in - however, baggies are available for the small items, and any duty-free purchases in the proper bag will be let through, no issue.

I have a 2.5 hour scheduled connection (same ticket) from ORD-VIE-CPT. If my ORD-VIE leg is late for some reason, does anyone know if Austrian would hold the connecting flight if its close. The VIE-CPT leg is only operated two days a week, so a missed connection could royally screw most of my trip, not to mention that it seems I'm on the last VIE-CPT nonstop of the season, 4/27.
Thanks
Thanks

Depends on multiple things, like if it's just you, if there is any curfew to consider in CPT etc.
If you do miss your connection, OS will of course take care of you and not by having you wait for the next direct, they would re-route you via other airports, probably resulting in your arrival late following morning.
However, that would have to be a pretty heavy delay... You'd probably know already in ORD if you are going to be delayed 2+ hours, and maybe you could arrange a reroute from there.

This question came up in another thread, so I thought I'd ask the OS and VIE experts here... Thank you as always. It seems that for my Business itinerary LAX-VIE-CPH, I may not have to go through security at VIE. (Since several of you told me US flights into VIE are cleared. Thanks for that info!).
But will they re-weigh by carryon rollerboard at VIE? (Assuming that they weigh it at LAX and I'm under 8kg, they should give me a red tag.) But I understand at LAX, they often do not weigh carryons for Business seats. So when I'm at the gate in VIE, I may not have a tag.
If I DO get a tag at LAX, will the agents at Vienna just let me through, or maybe they will still re-weigh the bag?
I should be under 8kg the whole time, but I understand VIE agents can be very strict, so I want to be prepared for anything.
Thank you all.

TK IST-VIE connect to AC VIE-YYZ do I have to clear security ?
Oh wise LH/OS Flyertalkers,
I have a question about connecting at VIE. I purchased a Business Class Ticket DMM-IST-VIE-YYZ-TPA.
I arrive at VIE via IST on TK at 9:40am. My Connecting Flight, VIE-YYZ on AC departs at 10:40am.
My questions: Do I have to proceed through Security Screening at VIE and, provided there are no flight delays, is one hour enough time to complete Security Screening and make my connecting flight ?

Hi gpicur,
you are likely to arrive at the D Gates of Terminal 1 on TK and will have to make you way to G gates in Terminal 3. There is an airside passage that you can use and you should not need to clear security (nor passport) again as you will not enter Schengen. OS long-hauls to US depart from G gates and - unless you are getting the beloved XXXX random check - will not need to go through additional security again.
