I noticed they're offering a Wagyu burger on the ORD-FRA route in F. It sounds intriguing! Can anyone comment on the burger quality?

SFO777 did on his last LH trip report. According to him, even though it was well done (looks very well done on the pics), it was good.

Here's the link: Petra, Cairo, More Mileage Running | SFO777

Wow, not sure how you remembered that from his TR! Thanks! Maybe I'll pass on the burger and eat one in the Polaris lounge instead.

Desserts

There usually is a choice of 3 desserts on the menu including a cheese platter.
Is it ok to ask for 2 or more desserts or would it be considered bad manners ?
And can I ask for a second helping ?

Flying LH longhaul in business for the first time and don't want to face an embarrassing situation !

No problem at all, the servings are rather small anyways.

In other news, July/August in C ex Germany features ISS Astro-/Kosmonaut food which LSG seems to cater also.

Any feedback on LSG's Space Food "Ragout of Poularde" which is listed as one of the Main Courses for the July/August Menu ex-FRA ?

There are some pictures here: https://www.vielfliegertreff.de/luft...ess-class.html

In the end its just a chicken dish. Presented in a curious way.

Interesting to find that it has already generated a discussion on VFT .
Thanks for the picture. Doesn't look very appetizing though - looks more like bland hospital food !!

I tried the space food the other day on FRA-IAD. A little disappointing! Good flavor, but miniscule amounts of chicken. I was expecting at least a whole chicken breast! In-flight food generally was not good, save for the pre-arrival meal.

Flew LH 404 in F yesterday. Had the burger as the second “light meal” - arugula, Brie, caramelized onions. It was excellent - juicy. The Argentinian beef as the main meal was slightly disappointing, but the excellent appetizers made up for it.

I actually enjoyed the Taittinger 2006 Comtes de Champagne Rosé served pre-departure, more than the Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle that was served inflight.
Also, only one bottle of the Taittinger was boarded.

I skipped the amuse bouche. It was crab. Much preferred the nuts.

I quite like this caviar appetizer.

Other items on the trolley with 1D asleep in the background.

Great salad.

Main course beef was nicely presented and great flavour. One piece of beef was great, the other was a bit tough.

FA offered this. Went nicely with the meal.

While this dessert has a nice presentation, I chose the Crêpe Suzette.

This was excellent. Served warm.

Coppeneur chocolates

Items on the breakfast trolleys

Breakfast served while over the Gulf of Thailand

Eggs were excellent and cooked exactly the way I like them.

Some recent shorthaul Business meals.

MAN-FRA (block time 1h40m, 11:35 departure) September 2018

FRA-AMS (block time 1h15m, 16:10 departure) September 2018
I wish they serve a bigger piece something savoury and a smaller piece of something sweet.

AMS-MUC (block time 1h20m, 11:00 departure) September 2018
Déjà vu!
