tickets ex TIP - anything new?
HI,
as it is now possible to get a lybian visa at the port of entry, I'm wondering if the old ex-TIP milage run option still (or again?) exists...
Did anyone try to buy a LH/SR ticket in Lybia and started his trip there? (no skipping of the first leg
)

PS: lufthansa also offered very good prices from THR, bookable via the iranian LH-website and payable by credit card - and now, even the iranian LH website is history

Where did you find the info that you can now obtain visas at the port of entry?

bertheike mentioned sometime ago that now you only purchase LH tickets ex-TIP from an Libyan TA if you show him some proof of residence. But there are other airlines like EK and SQ who don't care.

so, you need to apply before to get a visa, but you'll recieve it at the airport.

[Tomorrow in FRA we will have a lawsuit just about such a case ! I'll be there, and let you know what happened.
LH/TG are searching for any relevant fault. And try to stretch this lawsuit now already long time.
Although the judge had set a deadline for lodgment of new typesets, LH/TG brought one day bevore the lawsuite another typeset, the judge has made up his mind , to decide after file situation somewhen mid august.

The one and only thing one gets, is an IATA memurandum

and this was forced by LH !!! And not by the Libyan goverment.
And once again even thought there is a Libian order, that's not a law, and less then ever outside of Libya.
If there really would be a valid law, why do other airlines as air Malta, Emirates or Quatar air , sell these tickets in there own offices outside of Libya ? Even Swiss had issued tickets for a friend of mine 2 years ago and Austrian did it for me around 1 year ago.
Are these airlineoffices all incompetently ? Or is it just LH's power( to protect ) their premium market ?

Does Swiss/Austrian Air sell F ticket in Tripoli?
I know LH office in Tripoli don't sell Cheap F ticket anymore,but is it possible that I could still fo to Swiss or Austrian Airline in Tripoli to buy cheap F ticket to Sydney via SQ carrier ?
I've ever bought very cheap F ticket to Singapore with SQ carrier through Tripoli LH office,but since 2 years ago they've stopped this program,so now I'm wondering where I could buy cheap F ticket in Tripoli.I've heard someone tried with Swiss Air,and he succeded in getting F ticket from TIP-LHR-ZHR-SIN-FRA-TIP,only around 2000 USD.
