Several (not necessarily competing) explanations/theories:

- I only have a 12'' 1.5GHz PB Yours is better ^

- You're smarter than me!

- You flew on a A343 I flew on a A332 (East coast).

- Back in April, a purser told me that they were planning to change the power outlets on all their planes and make them standard as they are on most (normal) airlines. He told me that Swiss is not like the others. I told him that I can tell! And that the Swiss might be unique in more than one sense but this cannot be the smartest way to highlight it...

On a sidenote my post is not false at least not logically.

Even if the Mac works, caviar isn't there! (Lobster is! )

Reagrding power supplys: Apple just released a new smaller one for their huge MacBook Pros, and those do actually work on LH. No crashing the IFE, seat controls and light switches of half the F or C cabin. Yes, I did it several times

I certainly knew that (after all, it was me who disclosed that trick her on FT many months ago), but I refused to buy an additional weaker power supply just for a/c use.

I'm happy with the new small one, which delivers full power.

Isn't that the funniest thingie on Earth? I darkened the nose cabin on the 744 twice .
On TG only the IFE of the neighbouring seats went belly up. But all went fine with my certified inflight adapter .. only my Dell was complaining that it did not get enough juice.

As long as the coffe machine in the galley doesn't get broken because of you, I'm not affected. I can continue to read my book or sleep without power

If you take the battery out you should have sufficient wattage to power the laptop. I used to have this problem all the time (before I went Sony). Apparently charging the battery consumes far more wattage than simply powering the laptop without the battery.

Of course. And that's exactly why weaker (aka too weak) power supplys work so well on a/c. With a weak ower supply, the laptop battery doesn't charge, the laptop simply stays powered and won't discharge.

I have a very new power management system. The beast can very well rund and charge its miserable batteries. It just loves to complain that's all.

Why? Fly LH then .. your PC will work (on both actually) and you get the fish eggs.
