Star Alliance mileage inconsistencies

I am an Aeroplan member with Air Canada but travel frequently in Europe on Star Alliance partners, primarily Lufthansa. I notice I am only credited with 50% of miles travelled to my Aeroplan account when I fly Lufthansa. When I fly SAS (also Star Alliance) I receive full mileage. Does anyone have an explanation for this? These are all flights more than 500 miles in length taken in ecomony.

You will have to ask AC and/or LH as to the reason for this anomaly, but them's the rules...

"Mileage accumulation on Lufthansa is 100% of actual miles flown on North-Atlantic flights in all classes. Accumulation on non-North-Atlantic flights in economy class is 50% of actual miles flown (minimum 500 miles)."
