metal issues re. SEN upgrade vouchers

I did use the search function and found a ton of threads, but the ones I clicked on were concentrated on using the vouchers and on details of the counter that determines when you get them.

My question is metal/flight no. related. Once you make SEN, does the SEN voucher counter move for all status miles earned and booked to your Miles & More account, or are there restrictions of the metal/flight no. you fly? In other words, if I fly SQ metal on SQ flight no. and book mileage to M&More account, will this move the SEN upgrade counter? Thanks.

Follow up question. Is the counter supposed to move when your flights post or when you take them...?

Reason I ask is because in the last month of my previous SEN validity (ie. Feb 2003), I logged over 50K status miles. But, not all these posted before my SEN status expired. Will I still get my voucher? If not, do I have a case to ask LH to send me one? (just want to understand what the rules say, not sure I want to make a fuss, yet )

Of course you should ask them.

The "rules" say you receive one voucher if you fly 50.000 miles (status miles) as long as you are SEN.
it does not say "you receive the voucher unless we decide to post the miles later so we can save it"

actually, i would not fight too hard for those vouchers as i still regard them as a gift ... but it can never hurt to try!

As your flights will be credited to your account with the boarding date, the counter moves when you take your flights.

It would be interesting, if M&M will send you your voucher automatically. If not, I would definitely ask for the voucher as you earned it.
