De-coding OS flights

Hi everyone,

I have a basic question regarding the Austria Airline group! Is there a place that I can find how the OS codes work? I am having problems matching the OS flight number with the correct Austrian Airline's partner that is serving the route...
For example OS 5000s is for Troylean...

Any help will be appreciated!

Carfield,
to my understanding
all flight # starting with 1xxx or below are AUA
starting with 3xxx are Lauda
starting with 5xxx are Tyrolean equipment.

Thanks for the information!

It helps much! I am flying a Star Alliance RTW in summer, and want to make sure that I fly all three OS airline group members!

Thanks,
Carfield

sorry, but though the above is right from paper, it does not always work in practice, esp. it seems in 'special seasons, when they just seem to change the planes/thus comps like Austrian and Tyrolean at will, to fit to actual demand. Last year/july/aug. I flew AMS-VIE-BKK (the latter on NG=Lauda) and both ways AM-VIE were on another 'branch'as indicated.

It was merely meant as information - we all know that everything can be changed at short notice - though bear in mind that depending on the time of day the same city pair can be served by different carriers from AUA - such as looking in todays timetable for AMS - VIE the afternoonflight is OS 3xxx (CRJ from Lauda) and the evening flight is OS 0xxx (Fokker 70 from OS). Then again who knows what finally will await you at the gate... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Cheers
