Summer Award Travel
 

I was just on the phone with United and was looking to book award travel FC on LH from West Coast to Germany in July and there are no FC seats...what with this? There wasn't an award seat out of SFO, DEN, or LAX to Germany. Any idea what is up???:confused:

for LH-M&M-members in 07/2007 available: e.g.
2., 12., 23.7. SFO-MUC / 8., 20.7. LAX-MUC ...

FC from Toronto was dropped for this summer :mad:

LH/UA are expecting massive eastbound travel this July.. there is no Y ticket to be had for under 1300$ right now. Y/C awards are few and far between every year. F should not be a problem.

i'll keep looking for some F seats. What are the LH cities in the US? Maybe fly from west coast to say Houston and then over the water....but I know that some citie, like PDX don't have F service...

I don't think UA MP won't offer many awards on LH metal this summer during high season. For LH metal, the OP will have substantially more options when using LH M&M or another *A FFP.

However, UA MP still offers decent availability on UA metal, so flying UA F should be a viable alternative if nothing shows up for LH.

I've been using the ANA tool two weeks back, as well as Lufthansa booking engine to look for 2 F seats in July. It was pretty much impossible, both for F as well as for C. Might be better if only one seat is required, though.

Yep, 2 seats can be tough, especially in F.

In the last few weeks, I managed to find and reserve F award seats in June and July for LAX-MUC and LAX-FRA, new award seats keep popping up as we come closer to these months. However, since MP availability is substantially more restricted, this doesn't mean much for the OP.
