Thanks talenti for the info,

Ok, I just rebooked my flight by a day. I will now be flying IAD-MUC in F class on LH and then MUC-ARN on SK metal. That probably means that I cannot use the F lounge or is the arrival from a LH F flight sufficient?

LH F arrival is sufficient for same-day F lounge access

Really, that's news to me or are the rules different for the F lounge vs. FCT in FRA?

Does that mean that I can get a car out to the remote SAS flight? That would be nice.

No, not to a flight which is not operated using LH metal.

FCL access rules are indeed different to FCT access rules (refer the sticky for details).

Where exactly is the new FCL?
Is it a refurbished version of the old one, or completely new?

It's completely new in the style of the FRA FCL and FCT with all the comfort they have there.

The only difference will be that catering will not be done by Do&Co, but by Lufthansa.
We will see whether and to which extent this will make a difference

My last posting lacked some precision: Limousine service in Munich is available for flights operated by Lufthansa,
Lufthansa Regional, Austrian Airlines Group and Swiss that arrive/depart at a remote stand.

Precisely it's the LH caterer LSG which is doing the catering in the MUC F-lounge in a wonderful way and has won the competion.
LSC and the staff is happy to do this job even better than before because from Aug 6th they have much more possibilities.
So let's wait and see

Well, it hopefully makes a difference as it already does today. Not that I want to complain about the FRA catering service, but at some point it get's boring. Providing differences on a high level is at least a good thing for those who frequently travel through one or the other airport.

I do agree regarding FRA catering service: High quality and first class service, but with nearly no changes over the past 2,5 years it begins to get boring.

And Luigi: I totally agree with what you said about Munich. With the quality and class of service they show already now, it's really nice to have Munich as my homebase.

Talenti

I'm going to be in MUC flying in on F from the US on Aug. 7th but I only have 1.5 hours connection time to a intra europe flight. Is that enough time to check out the lounge?
