I'm flying from MUC to PMI on Friday on a P-fare. LH sent me a e-mail offering to sell access for €249 by credit card at the FCL entrance. Cheaper than an offer I received last year, but that offer also included HON baggage tagging ;-) I still can't imagine being able to eat and drink enough to make this worthwhile however! Has anyone else received similar offers? Whereas the previous offer was for advance purchase, this latest implies anyone could walk up to the FCL entrance and pay €249 to get in (unless my offer is targeted and they cross-check record locators to confirm I was officially invited).

They do offer transfers to the satellite lounge. I only had 30 mins to spare but was proactively persuaded to head over and check it out for a quick bite to eat. I was hoping the shuttle (Mercedes van) would drop me off directly at my gate upon my return, but unfortunately dropped me off where I was initially picked up which is the gate behind where the FCL is located.

Yesterday was the 10 year anniversary of the Munich FCL lounge! They celebrated with a cake with fondant ducks, a special menu, and a special edition rubber duck! A duck with a birthday cake hat is available at reception. What a treat!
The lounge in the other terminal is still under construction, a transfer shuttle runs every 15 minutes.

Has anyone experience of being driven to the FCL in the Satellite from an apron arrival? Last time my incoming flight arrived at an apron position but the longhaul flight was leaving from H and the limo driver escorted me to the FCL in the main terminal. He was disappointed when I said I wanted to go and have a look at the new FCL. I wasn't sure if he said he could have taken me there instead.
Since they are shuttling passengers between the two FCLs there must be somewhere passengers can be dropped or picked up on the tarmac level close to the FCL in T2S. My next flight in F ex-MUC is likely to leave from an L gate and I'll be connecting from an E195.

Nevertheless, by default, the driver will take you to the concourse where your next flight leaves but you can always ask to be taken somewhere else and they will happily do so.
just keep in mind that, once the "old" FCL is open again, you're on your own to shuttle between satellite and main Building, should you request to be taken to T2S and you're flight leaves from a gate in G/H.

quite some E195 flights get gate positions these days, so don't get too excited .

Last time I connected to LH F in MUC the incoming flight was an A320 but it still ended up as an apron arrival. It was going to be another A320 in October but I noticed my seat had been changed and it's turned out the aircraft type would be E195. We'll see what happens.
I've travelled between the main terminal and T2S several times, mostly out of necessity (including a very tight connection) but also out of curiosity. I like the way the shuttle has separate clean and unclean non-Schengen sections (in addition to the Schengen compartment).
