Very strange that you want to become a senator "as easy as possible". May I ask you for the reason? Is it only to gain lounge access?

Marrying it is the cheapest joke. The fastest, and probably cheapest way is to find really cheap business fares(as on UA) for short hops. They are worth 3k each, I think.

IAD-ORD-DFW and return generates about 9k at acost of $500 or 600. why bother.

Nope , sorry to tell you, but a FC ORD-DCA gives you only 1918 miles incl FTL/SEN bonus.... (minumum is 500 miles on UA ) so a C class gives you 1000

A RTW trip in F should do the trick to maintain your status if you are outside of Germany and need only 100k for SEN requalification. You will however need to do most longhaul trips with LH (where available) to receive the 25% status bonus.

The cost of an FRWSTAR1 ticket should set you back +/- € 7.500, plus the hotels of the 10 day trip, depending on where you start the trip.

If you are starting from zero you will have to do more, as the 25% status bonus only kicks in after obtaining (useless) FTL status.

If you already have some status miles a CRWSTAR1 fare in business class might also do the trick.

Has anybody some experiences what documents LH needs to accept adress change to a non-german residential adress? 100k status miles are this year easier to achieve than 150k status miles - having too often trouble getting availible seats on friday / monday flights...

I did see some very cheap fares from Tripoli to BKK for £1000 return in First/Business Class. It was on LH/TG. (As you may, Tripoli is home for the famous BA Sydney first class flight for £1500.)

The following fare (I got from www.airfaresbasement.com) was under £1000. Travel is with Qatar airways and Thai:
Airline carrier From To Flight Aircraft Type Class Stops Depart Arrive
Qatar Airways TIP DOH 551 A330 Airbus First 0 13 November, 16:10 21:50
Qatar Airways DOH DXB 108 A320 Airbus First 0 14 November, 07:30 09:30
Thai Airways International Ltd DXB BKK 522 A330-300 Airbus Business 1 17:55 15 November, 05:00
Airline carrier From To Flight Aircraft Type Class Stops Depart Arrive
Thai Airways International Ltd BKK DXB 517 A330-300 Airbus Business 0 26 November, 17:25 21:25
Qatar Airways DXB DOH 115 A320 Airbus First 0 23:45 23:45
Qatar Airways DOH TIP 550 A330 Airbus First 0 27 November, 01:05 27 November, 06:05
Base price per 1 passenger excluding taxes : Adult - 952.69 GBP
Total ticket price for all passengers including taxes is 988.89 GBP.

You will have to fly to Tripoli in the first place. However, the very cheap fare could be worth it.
There is another option but you have to fly on BA to London first and then fly Thai. You may also be able to change the final FRA_TIP flight (on LH) and use it for your next cheap flight from TIP

Airline carrier From To Flight Aircraft Type Class Stops Depart Arrive
British Airways P.L.C. TIP LHR 899 A320 Airbus Business 0 13 November, 16:00 17:55
Thai Airways International Ltd LHR BKK 917 Boeing 747 First 0 21:35 14 November, 15:55
Airline carrier From To Flight Aircraft Type Class Stops Depart Arrive
Thai Airways International Ltd BKK FRA 7818 Boeing 747-400 First 0 26 November, 23:55 27 November, 05:30
Deutsche Lufthansa AG FRA TIP 4120 A320 Airbus Business 0 09:20 27 November, 13:10
Base price per 1 passenger excluding taxes : Adult - 1047.53 GBP
Total ticket price for all passengers including taxes is 1187.73 GBP.

While Qatar is a partner of Miles & More, it does not earn status miles.

For more info see the *A FFPs partner airlines thread (link found in *A useful reference links).

In my experience(s) no documents were required -- but of course you need to be able to receive the mail they send to your new address.

Can confirm this. No documents needed.
You can "move" back immediately and you have to move only with your MM-adress. CC-Adress is not relevant. Moreover, they send you the new CC to your german CC-adress!

I negelected to mention that on 2 class UA, C flies as an A ticket, which is considered first class. With 25% bonus, BWI-ORD-DFW rt brings 9178 miles. The ORD-BWI section is 1833+153 each way, or 3972 total.

Yes, same here: no documents were needed. A few people in international companies have been known to use their colleagues at the different site as recipients of the MM communications...not that I am suggesting that to anyone
