LH FRA arrival at gate (Shengen, intercontinental) - No special teratement at all. Went to the FCT. From there all the fancy stuff (PA, immigration, limo to the gate).
LH BOG arrival: Special Services anncouced via email in advance, but excluding immigration. There was in fact some staff at the gate, but I didn't see neighter my name nor First, so I went to Immigration on my own,
LH BOG departure: PA from C/I to immigration and past immigration to the Lounge and later pick up at tha lounge thru the boarding at gate to the airplane. Was asked wether I would like to board first oder last.

Just did MIA:

LX ARR - HON & F: walking escort, with immigration priority via diplomat lane.
Be aware this is not always pro-actively offered, to make other pax feel bad (according to the host).

EWR LX DEP HON & F: walking escort, with a little bit if priority at security and walk to lounge. Situation changed after situation with Iran, security staff on (higher) alert.

Won't change wiki for this yet, as seems like temporary.

Was thinking same way before become HON...
Actually logic here is: just F pax may be random F-pax (flying today with LH and next time with some other carrier), HON is proved loyal customer.

Actually I do think, that HON on longhaul Y or Y+ is very rare.
During my 2 years I qualified to HON and since I got HON card I never was in Y on any segment. It have simple reasons: C and Y prices for my origin location are quite similar and Y and Y+ do not give any HON miles at all.
I was corrected here that intra Germany lot of HON pax fly economy, but I still do not think they are regular customrs on longhaul Y or Y+.

HON's importance and revenue to airline is over random F.
Actually it is visible also when you book F flight directly with LH. Not HON pax will get nice decorated First Class booking details e-mail. HON pax will get HON decorated booking details.

HON Services and F services are different and supposed to be so.

LH ARR for HON have escort, but it is just like companion during the walk to immigration. But they guard HON-tagged bags next to carousel as well. Have list of HON / F pax with information how many bags somebody checked in.

There might be a lot of new HONs soon with the new qualy system coming 2021.

Especially those flying cheap P fares might easily aquire HON status in the future.. or those that do some Poland-eXtreme-runs 1500 points for HON or 480 for SEN aren't THAT much if you're either flexible or having a cheap starting airport to go from..

If we assume 12€ per segment (there are even cheaper one's.. assuming sometimes you pay slightly more) for an intra-Poland flight, that would make SEN costing just below 1200€ and HON could be had for 3600€

So anyone located in Poland (near an airport, it is..) could grab SEN or even HON status (and plenty Prince Polo!) for a very affordable price, and then use the status for international travel in Y or Y+ with all SEN/HON benefits..

Alternatively (and a bit less time consuming), a roundtrip from something like OSL to TLV (or whatever European destination has the cheapest offer to whatever destination considered intercont) - 120 points for a RT in C. 4 RT's for SEN (about 400€ each, possibly even cheaper)

And other possible chance is that some border regions could give very juicy deals. If Turkey is considered Europe and Lebanon as Asia, grabing some cheap C fares might sweeten up your account fast. You just need half of the points from M&M carriers, after all. 6 RT's above from Europe to (Near) Asia in C, a few feeders in Y on M&M carriers and 7-8 RT's "across continents" on whatever cheapest offer there is and HON is all yours. Approx 4000€ I'd say for HON - not too bad a deal. Certainly involving quite some travel, though.

More expensive than some 300 segments in Poland for HON - but unless you're based in Poland, easier to do I guess.

Can't wait for the first Polish 300-segment HON! And for the most creative routing HON elsewhere

If they gain more SEN & HON than they expect from these changes, that’s a dead cert....

plenty of people fly that much (that’s „just“ 75 RTs through a hub) on regular schedule. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s 1000+ fresh HONs and 10000s of fresh SENs.

if you are located near one of the main LOT hubs in Poland you could do 8 segments per day without that much pain.

that would still mean 40 flying days, or almost every weekend such flying day. But if you combine it with regular travel to just stock up on miles..

so far, cheapest mileage runs were in F intercontinental from cheaper airports like Kiev, Oslo, Budapest. In the future there seems to be different strategies possible. North Africa/Near East runs.

if flying from Turkey to Lebanon yields 50 points per segment in C on TK, it could become very interesting.

As discussed at length, I don’t think there is going to be a material change in HON numbers. Perhaps a material change in composition at best.

And if you want to put your body through what seems like an epic gauntlet, go for it. IMO, you’ve earned HON (but at what expense?).

It really comes down to what your goals are:

1) if your goal is HON status, easiest way now is to game system via P fares.

2) If your goal is to fly F as much as possible, easiest way is to buy F tickets, and particularly F tickets that are “cheap.”

I have yet to meet an idiot who flies 300 Y legs during 40 days just to get a black card.

For once, I was trying to be more delicate. But yes, agreed.

TBF even the number of business flights on the current system that it takes to make HON... I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
