Burda replaced Leserservice and is offering a 50°P/2€ starting promo. The Bunte 1 year offer would yield 15k °P for 202€. If you wait for the next 25% bonus (that seems to come every 6 months) then you have nearly 19k for 202€ (if you read Bunte, which my wife does)

I'm glad you mentioned this. Burda didn't exactly distinguish themselves in the recent points for Focus promotion in November or whenever, but at least there is something that replaces Leserservice.
Yesterday. I was in Kaufhof in central Cologne and many of the clients were loudly complaining about the sudden lack of Payback points, some quite angrily. It's true that they didn't exactly give a lot of notice, did they? Personally, I feel Payback is still on a bit of a downward slope. I guess VFT is the place to follow this in detail.

I'm not complaining...

The Burda Focus thing was a desaster because people signed up for multiple subscriptions like idiots in a feeding frenzy. That they shut down that farce was obvious.

Actually, I only signed up for one single Abo (it wasn't Focus, I can't remember what it was) and I got rejected with the points being subtracted from my account. So I agree with the rather more militant bloggers that the whole thing was rather badly handled. I'm not in a great hurry to do business with Burda again. Unprofessional to say the least.

Is that the one that is offering a one month only plan for €10.63?
I saw something about this on VFT but decided to leave alone, looked a bit complicated.
Are they any less obvious traps? Can't see the cancellation policy very easily.
Leaving the country thing as the United States yields no VAT, unlike choosing other countries.

Are these any good in your opinion? I'm on the road in Greece right now, so haven't got around to studying the offers in more detail.
I still find it a shame Leserservice has walked away from Payback, I was planning all sorts of magazine subs, even about things that don't really interest me, such as horses (Cavallo). That's probably why they walked away from it, because of short termers like me.

Yes I saw that. I'm not sure I can face a year of Focus, it really isn't the best Zeitschrift on the planet. I saw it but didn't check the ratio. Is it any good? But I'm very reluctant to do any business with Burda.

I'm getting a bit worried about the number of cases reported in the German language press about Payback points being stolen. The current promotion requires for you to sign up for the points transfer subscription, but I'm not sure if I believe in the future of Miles and More any more than I do in Payback. Also, Payback is refusing to reinstate points. Makes me feel like getting rid of all my points accounts in Germany.
No no idea where the payback thread is, so I posted here.

Hint: search for 'payback'
°P were never supposed to be hoarded, always transfer them to M&M whenever there is a promo, of which there are 2-3 a year.

I did search for "Payback", but maybe it works less well on a mobile phone. Thanks for moving my post, it's in the right place now.
Indeed, the points shouldn't be hoarded, probably best converting to miles or cash as soon as possible. A manager in the COOP supermarket in Switzerland told me the same thing, don't build up a big stash, use them quickly. If the account gets hacked there is no restitution. Any ideas what could be causing the thefts other members have been experiencing, other than them being careless?
