Just would like to inform you about a real but time-limited enhancement (!) of the German Payback programme.

This week you can earn fivefold points. Means that you earn for every Euro spent e.g. at Kaufhauf you get FIVE Payback points.

These can later on be transferred to your M&M account on a regular basis (two times per year) or upon request. So one Euro spent at Kaufhof will give five LH miles which can be redeemed for awards (but no status miles).

Kind of card: Every payback Card
Period: 08.-14. October, 2007
Items: Nearly all items, except (according to German law): Books, cigarettes.
Registration: Not necessary, just catch a "5-fold" button at the info desk of a participating shop and show it at the cashiers desk with your Payback Card. Works also when paying with Credit Cards !

So, what can be bought at Kaufhof for cash which can later be flogged without loss on ebay ?

Alternatively, what happens if you buy with cash and collect the points only to return it later for a refund ? Do you get to keep the points?

According to the participating rule (German only):
"Die Partnergutschrift erfolgt partnerindividuell, 2 bis 6 Wochen nach Aktionsende."

Points will be added 2 until 6 weeks after the end of the promotion. The exact date varies from participating partner to partner.

So I meant you can buy there any article with you may otherwise have bought at another market or maybe some weeks later. So you get those miles for buying some things some weeks earlier.

Wanted to give you only the hint to that promotion ! To buy things and to sell it at ebay maybe not the right manner because 5 points per Euro mean a rebate of estimated 5 to 10% according to the rate you assume for a Payback point.

But for people who are regularly customer to Kaufhof, dm, real and so on maybe its useful to buy some things a bit earlier....

I meant this this is a good and real enhancement. In contrast to all of the service devaluations of the last years which are always advertised as "enhancements".

And not only valid in the German markets of the group REAL @:-)
