but even on the graphical ones there is no hint that 1D/1F are against flight direction and you are grouped with 2D/2F
It's best to use the green [Copy] button to insert seat maps into a post:

[KVS Availability Tool 2.2.0/Platinum - Worldspan Seat Map: 28 May 2006/LH 1217/DTM-MUC/DH8/C]
Code:

The Rear-facing seats should be marked with an {R}, as per the standard seatmap legend symbols table: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...45&postcount=6

Are 1 D/F seats considered exit row seats? If so, then the {E} designation probably takes priority over {R}, and that's why you can't see that on the seatmap...

DH3 row 1

I had noted that the OS Arrows DH3 had row 1 facing backwards. I found it nice to try out that seat, sitting like FAs do (supposedly the better position in a hard landing).
Noted your observation in the LH note on the DH3

Still in the learning phase [great tool!] - thanks for the hint

  03 R R R . 06 . . . .
As per the above, R does mean reserved in this instance (Worldspan TravelASP), E is Exit and . availible standard seat. So looks like no chance for me to spot - and for SEN line / checkin staff as well?!

Just flew one of those on VIE-SVO respectively v.v.

The first 20 rows all have head rests and can be used for both economy and business class. The other rows (21+) don't have headrests and can only be used for economy.

Exit rows are 9 and 23 (very spacious!!), where 9 has no 9B so 10C is also a great seat (but in seat tray). 9D and 23D are steward seats, so 10D and 24D have no space for stowage (or feet) under the seat in front of them.

Seats 1A,B,C and 2D,E,F are bulkhead seats.

In general the flight was very convenient and hot meal was served. Somehow I figured that the Eco meal (Butterschnitzel) was the same as one of the B/C meal options just with no salad and dessert, but I'm not quite sure on this ...

regards,
Rob

343 - 34P seating question

Hi all,

My first post in the LH forum
Anyone flown this config in C yet?
I have an upcoming LAX-MUC in June and was looking for some seating advice.
From what I see on the seatmap, the aircraft configuration is 34P.
Is row 4 any good? I know it's in the mini-cabin and should be a quieter area but being that the galley is right behind it, how is this row in terms of noise/light/etc.? Other than that row, (row 3 is taken already..) what other rows/seats would be recommended? or are they all the same on this new-C config?

Thanks for your advice.
Chris

I'm either in row 3 or 10, whining that my upgrade didn't clear.
When I'm not whining, I'm in 2A or 2K.

Yes, I like this mini-cabin, somehow exclusive and quiet!

thanks for that, if imagined row 3 is the best.
what about row 10 isn't that right next to the lavs?
This is going to be my first flight on LH and looking forward to it; but unfortunately no upgrades for me I'll have to make do with just the C seat

Thanks again for the info,

Chris

Indeed, but since LH has this great invention called "curtains", this doesn't really bother me much.

I also appear to be traveling on a 34P Config. (8/36/197) according to online seat maps for my flight. Presently I am booked in row 14 on one of the sides as opposed to the middle. Row 14 in this Config. is the last row in C. Does anyone have any positive or negative opinions on this row?

The A332 is an ex-SN plane on lease to LH till the end of this summer. Yes it is one of the last planes in the LH fleet to have individual IFE.

New C US>EUR, only 333?

I'm using some UA miles for a Biz award IAD-Eur in October. After searching the LH site it appears only the 333 has the new biz seats. From that means:
JFK-FRA LH407, JFK-MUC LH411, ORD-MUC LH435, and EWR-FRA 483.

But after reading this thread it seems some of the 343s may have new business seats as well. This would greatly increase my chances of grabbing an award seat. Any way to tell which of the 343s out of IAD/JFK/EWR/ORD/BOS/CLT/ATL/PHL into FRA/MUC will have new bus seats by Oct?

You forgot LH 433 from ORD and LH443 from DTW with new Business Seats on A333!!!!

But not only some 343 have new business-seats (=34V), as well some 747 (=74P) from Lufthansa!

From U.S. the 74P go out of

LAX as LH457
JFK as LH 401
IAD as LH419

The 343 from U.S. with new Business Class go out of
ATL as LH445
PHL as LH427
DFW as LH439
PDX as LH469

The LH-346 with new Business Class go out from U.S.
SFO as LH459

Unfortunately no more upgrades for me...... 2 class service from DFW will continue during the winter.... In addition no longer my favorite Biz seat 3D in the mini cabin anymore... All I can hope for now is 1A or K which is blocked until the departure day.

Cheers, S
