So I've been really disappointed with the catering recently as well, so given the high quality of the BA KSMLs figured I'd request them on some upcoming flights I had with OS and LH - after all, the food can't get much worse, can it?
First up is a breakfast VIE-SOF flight on OS. This was hummus, tinned tuna, a stale bread roll with some strudel. At 9am. 4/10 (only for the strudel). https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1421a6866.jpeg |
Next up was a SOF-MUC on LH. I was hoping that I'd escape the vegetarian options they seem to be providing from outstations. No such luck. This was some kind of tofu. I had one bite and handed it back. 1/10.

Finally, I have a MUC-ARN. This was some kind of mechanically processed turkey. Also a 1/10. At least the pretzels were edible.

LCA-MUC: a proper meal and a tasty one too. 3 hot meals on the menu + 5 more to choose from if you pre-order in the app.

It may be that my palate is not as sophisticated as that of the intern, but I struggle to conceive of the thought process (let alone the approval process) which sees a dish like this presented to Business Class passengers as a premium offer.

AMS - FRA yesterday had 3 choices for the meal, unusually. The Beetroot thing, which -presentation aside- I actually like, a Salmon thing and one other. The crew was also fantastic. And then FRAPORT let us all down by assigning a bus position and taking >30min to deliver luggage.

MUC-MAN late evening flight on Lufthansa City. I wasn’t hungry but asked for the food so I could take a look (and was not impressed). Sorry about the quality of the photo.
