Impressed with LH!
This morning I flew LH1781 as an AC codeshare to Munich. My knee and back were acting up walking to the gate at LIS, so I asked for wheelchair assistance when landing.
On short notice it appeared and the fellow took my to the LH lounge in another building @T2.
The passport control was excellent - flying on LH476 to YVR.
The Senator lounge here is very quiet and well stocked. Great food and beverages. Impressed with their attention to detail: i heard several staff asking imbibers "Would you like another beer?" In all of my travels I have never experienced that before!
In another 2 hours I fly for 10+ hours to YVR in PE. So another adventure.
So far so good. Thanks Lufthansa.
Edit:
See #17, Part II - It gets better.

I'd like to take a more nuanced position: Admittedly, there is a lot to complain about at LH - especially with regards to its IT, treatment of status customers and other headquarter related functions and services. However, in my experience LH usually still shines with its onboard service - and in parts its ground customer facing services. If they have one asset it's a very good number of well trained employees - and I would only wish these were supported properly by their employer in their respective capacities.

While the new LH app, with all its faults, gives you updates here and there. At least something works.

while we can complain a lot about LH, în comparison, I guess they are the better airline to travel with. e.g., LOT mobile app is a joke. Booked 2 flights 48h ago, they still don't show.

The interesting question is, why people say, that they don‘t like LH, but they still like to talk about it. I understand the situation of passengers, who have to fly with LH, because there are no alternatives for them. But on FT there are more people, who can easily chose other airlines.
And it depends, if you talk about LH as a brand or as a company, which includes other airlines.
I had a flight FRA-ZRH-BKK as HON in J a couple of days ago. Both segments on LX, but still Lufthansa group. FCT, transfer, great service on a 30 minute flight, FCL A, transfer, FCL E and a nice throne to sleep. I‘ve travelled a lot in my life so far and I‘m not aware of any airline in the world, that is able to compete with this package. Not one!
But even if you talk about LH as a brand: In ten days I‘ll fly FRA-MUC-HND on LH F and I‘m expecting a pleasant service again. FCT, transfer, FCL, great service on board, great PA on arrival.

I find status members on FlyerTalk constantly indulging in their own vanity and sharing how superior their views and actions are similarly annoying to people that constantly bash everything with no point of comparison or the slightest moment of reflection.
The kudos for creating impressive moments go the the passenger-facing individuals who love their job and are passionate about offering the best service possible and who do not get dragged down by everything that goes on around them.
