LOT Warsaw Lounge?

I'll be arriving WAW on LOT around 12:00. I am flying UA business on the longhaul from the US, entering the Schengen Zone in FRA, and then onward business on LOT, all on one PNR.

I have to be at the Warsaw East train station around 4:30 to catch a 20 hour train to Kyiv.

I'm really hoping to take a shower before I get on the train. What are the chances that I'll be able to use the LOT lounge after landing in WAW? I won't have time in FRA as I've only got a little over an hour. Has anyone been in that lounge lately and is the shower even still offered? I also have Priority Pass, but it doesn't look like the lounge accessible to Schengen passengers has a shower, and I never rely on PP for anything these days.

Worst case, is there a nearby inexpensive but clean hotel where I could get a day rate room?

Thanks!

There used to be public showers in WAW. Perhaps they still exist?

(note: older reports state you should have your own towel. so maybe pack it in a carryon with toiletries?)

Re the remark about public showers - I have not seen such and am in WAW quite frequently.

Yes, the Polonez lounge up the escalator in the Schengen area has a shower in the ELITE sub-area.

There is a Courtyard by Marriot opposite the terminal. There are four hotels within 5 minutes walking of the railroad station - the Marriot, the Intercontinental, the Polonia and the Metropol. The last would probably be the most reasonable in price. Further beyond the Marriott is a Hampton Court.

LOT doesn't allow lounge access on arrival, you will have to slum it out in the public shower facility or in a day room in the airport hotel.

To my surprise I recently noticed there indeed is a public shower room - it is on the departure concourse (so no not go down to the baggage claim area). Do not recall an exact location - somewhere between Baltona and Lagardere duty free shops? And I have no clue if it is open or not.

The others have advised you that you would not have lounge access as an arriving passenger unfortunately.

If you are taking the direct train (#68) departing at 17:49 then there is no need for you to be at the train station at 16:30. They usually start boarding around 20 minutes before departure and there is not much to do at the train station. Arriving 30 minutes before departure would be enough.

Thank you for all of your responses. I'm going to try the Preludium Lounge using my Priority Pass. If that doesn't work, it's off to the public showers I go. I guess I'll have to add a towel and hair dryer to my packing list.

Actually - you CAN PURCHASE a entry to the Preludium if they do not give you access. Rather than travel with towels and a hairdryer, I'd try to do that.

They won't let you in without an onboard BP.
