CNBC just reports the issue as 'chaotic' around the LH network. I guess we can expect what happened to BA a while ago with delays around the 4h mark.

Disruptions on Lufthansa flights due to a IT failure in Frankfurt

Due to an IT failure many Lufthansa IT systems are currently not working. Because of this reason, passengers must expect disruptions in the flights program and during the check-in process. Further information will be published as soon as possible.

In case your flight is cancelled we recommend not to proceed to the airport and rebook your flight on our Chatbot.

So only LH? or also LX affected, as that is where I am having issues.
Message only indicates that LH has an issue, and not the LH Group...

4 major glass fibre cables got severed at a construction site in Frankfurt last night:

https://www.hessenschau.de/panorama/...kfurt-100.html

It seems they not only destroyed the cables but also poured concrete over it. The replacement is in progress and will take all afternoon.

FRA seems to be in bad shape with aircraft piling up:

Probably not, since it was "force majeure", construction works on a rail line knocked out a significant part of Frankfurt's internet infrastructure. It just so happens that the airline headquartered in FRA took the brunt of the blow.
