So they do use the same illogical and overrreaching definition as LH did in the above article: "Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals" Not only do they define "antisemitism" by using "antisemitism" but also expand the definition to all all Jewish & non-Jewish - i.e. everyone - individuals. I don't want to comment on the motives and the agenda of this organsiation but I find it frustrating that all these grievance institutions find it necessary to lay claim to unreasonably broad territory, It's almost as if they feared the loss of revenue or influence if they stuck to their competences. |

Example: My hairdresser told me (I am not Jewish) on a derogatory tone that the Swiss supermarket Migros was held by Jews (Migros' bank subsidiary had refused to grant him a loan). It is complete non sense (Migros is a cooperative) and anti-Semitic. Although it was directed to a non Jewish person (me), it falls under the scope of the definition. |

That doesn't solve the issue that this group defines "antisemitic" by using the term "antisemitic". You at least make an enfort to circumscribe it. And while there are obvious antisemitic events in history, definining it in a modern context is quite tricky and usually strongly divided along the two main political camps in the US. To me BDS and critique of the State of Israel are plainly antisemitic but I know quite a few people who do not see it like that. |

I can't find any evidence of a lawsuit being filed - so the only documented compensation so far is passengers received a handwritten apology, refund of the ticket, refund of any additional expenses and the EU compensation of €600.

Sources tell me that the airline has agreed to settle for $20,000 plus $1,000 to cover expenses related to the incident. The law firm that negotiated that settlement is taking 18% of the $20,000, leaving passengers with $16,400 plus $1,000 to cover expenses, for a total of $17,400 per passenger. |
