Apparently a medical emergency. All the best to all affected.

I was on board of this flight.
A passenger in Eco refusing to wear a mask first and then (did not see, just heard from purser) started to damage the plane and injure other passengers and crew.
This was around 2-3 hours out of FRA. Took about 1 hour to get to KEF, had to spray fuel for around 15 min (to bring the weight down for landing)
After landing went to a remote area, several polica cars. They offloaded the passenger in question, then refueled. Have been on the ground for almost 3 hours, then continued to LAX and arrived around 2.5 hours late. We had to stay on the plane.
Anouncements from captain and ourser kept us well informed. Fortunately the stop did not take too long and the crew was able to continue to LAX.

What drama, they could make a movie 🎥

That pax will be in very big trouble now, causing so much inconvenience & cost to LH etc, knock on of missed connections, the list goes on, inbound from LAX also late & missed connections, unless of course the pax can claim illness.....

Interesting that the crew initially categorized it as medical. Maybe because the pax must be crazy.

Unfortunately, the pax usually does not have to pay for all the costs, but he will definitely be in trouble.

There is always the ferry. Used to be summer only, but now also seems to operate in the winter months.

Maybe they don‘t enforce masks on open-air decks 😉

Surely the passenger should pay compensation?

Is EU261 applicable for the other passengers?
