LH Group Winter 2021/22 Schedule Update

With the EU-US situation showing no signs of improvement, any idea when we can expect the cull to start for the winter timetable?

Its the usual wait and see dance: first the EU and US have provide clarity if you lose your slots, then the booking situation is reviewed and the available fleet is matched. Going by previous rounds I would not expect any cull before mid/end September.

Have the W22 (interested for European routes) changes been published already for LHG?

The W21/22 clean up is expected in the second half of September.

Are we expecting a leaner schedule than S21?

W21/22 is filed like it was W19/20 and nothing ever happened So the slash will be significant. Winter is always leaner than summer...

Schedule Change rules

My international connection flight in FRA got moved by 90 minutes forward so I called LH and asked if they could move the first flight forward an hour(there are two flights within an hour of each other) and they said "No, unless you want to pay the fare difference of $245. So, even though they made the connection longer they would not move us. Is this a normal practice or should I try to call again? I normally wouldn't care but the first flight from CDG to FRA is 7:45 and they have an 8:45 , my connection is 12:25 pm to USA.

Very Helpful, thank you. If I am reading this correctly, we are entitled to one change , correct?

Yes, call again. Use the language in the document.

I agree that you should be able to rebook to the later flight for free. But if your travel date is ahead, I would wait to request rebooking to the later CDG-FRA LH flight until it is clear if further schedule changes (or cancellations) will occur. It is also possible that LH will add a late morning flight later that will fit better with your departure time from FRA.

If you want to try to get another free change, just stick some FRA-MUC vv in there, around 7-8 rotations have been cancelled in S21, it seems unlikely they will be reinstated for W21/22.

Lufthansa flight booked, but the route hasn't been flown in 1 year

I have a flight upcoming, LH 758. I looked on flight aware etc, and it hasn't flown in 1 year.

Why are they selling me a ticket if they aren't flying the route? I really need to go on this flight. It will be very disappointing if it's canceled last minute.
