Lufthansa website outage
 

It's a bit back to the future, but at least now when I type FRA in the from box it seems to now know I mean Frankfurt whilst the old website often was confused by this exotic destination and would highlight red.


Unfortunately, click on the Lufthansa top right:

404 Not Found

The requested URL /lh/errorOUTAGE/de/en/homepage.html was not found on this server.

The intern must have taken a coffee break before completing the top right menu...

The book.lh.com shows up whenever they have an outage for whatever reason.

swiss.com is also unavailable right now. austrian.com was unavailable, but seems to be back online.

LH.com appears to be using Akamai CDN and they were having problems with their Prolexic DDoS scrubbing service earlier, so maybe it was that?

Anyone else having issues logging into their M&M account? I'm constantly getting a technical issue has occurred, from two different web browser and the app on iOS.

This started for me when I tried to setup the 2-factor from the email received this AM. Figured maybe I needed a PIN reset - got the email for that and when I tried to confirm my phone number I kept getting the "Technical Error" message.

M&M not working for me either. Can not log in due to technical issue or it asks me to reset PIN. Main LH site works.
Got an email this morning about 2 Factor authentication commencing. Could it be related?

Same here - I assume they sent out the mail, millions of people tried to do 2FA - and it broke down.
All other possibilities would even be more embarrassing...

Yes, it’s not working, I’m only really surprised when LH IT does work. :D

I turned on 2FA ages ago, yet have never actually ever received a 2FA challenge. Also goodness knows why they're doing it via text and not offering an authenticator app option as well. Plus they really, really, really need to turn off the option to login using your service card number and five digit PIN. I mean, we're in 2021....

It must have been a general outage yesterday, couldn't open LH.com and the app. Now every thing is back to normal it seems.

Trying to log in to app I'm getting a "server temporarily unavailable" message just now.

Yes, I'm also having terrible difficulties with the (Android) app today.

• Couldn't check in
• App couldn't find existing bookings
• Was then logged out of app(?)
• Now unable to log into app at all

I was able to check in through website (without logging in) but am unable to retrieve boarding pass and I suspect I've lost my row 9 seat assignment and am now right down the back.
