Miles expiring.. Extension?

Has Miles and More given leeway for expiring Miles?
I'm stuck.. In Malaysia. Banned from leaving the country. Can't travel on any Star carrier since there's none domestically? I've 21.5K Miles expiring end of March.

Don't know when I can leave the country to travel again. Would LH give any exception?

Edit: I redeemed 20K miles for a ticket on AC for next March. Better to get to change dates for €50 than to pay over US$275 to have the miles extended forv3vyears.
