As we have already reported, from June 30, 2020 GDS Sabre (1S / 1B) terminates the distribution agreement with the Lufthansa Group airlines (Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS and Brussels Airlines).

We understand that the current crisis has negatively affected our business, and we are doing everything possible to minimize its consequences for Sabre users. Therefore, we will regularly inform you of changes and updates regarding, among other things, this topic.

We continue to conduct constructive negotiations with Sabre so that our partners have the opportunity to create reservations in various systems. In case negotiations do not bring a positive result, we are already working on numerous solutions to provide you maximum support:

• Tickets issued on the forms of OS / LH / LX / SN airlines (257/220/724/082) before June 30, 2020 are considered valid and can be used for flights

• Changes to existing reservations / tickets will be possible through the Lufthansa Group agent support team.

• Tickets issued on OS / LH / LX airline forms at published fares can also be changed on the websites of the respective airlines.

• For travel agencies working with multiple reservation systems or API NDC, we are developing options for transferring existing bookings from Sabre.

• From July 1, 2020, you can continue to book and issue tickets through the Sabre system, provided that flights are booked under the codes of Lufthansa Group partner airlines and tickets are issued on the documents of the respective companies (for example, the flight is operated by Lufthansa, but under the United codeshare, and the ticket is issued on stock 016)

• Flight schedule information is still available on Sabre

• SSR and OSI elements contributed by Lufthansa Group airlines will continue to be displayed on Sabre reservations

We thank you for your cooperation and will continue to keep you updated on the news and support all Sabre (1S / 1B) users.
Yours faithfully
Your eXperts Team
This is going to hit all Sabre GDS TA/OTAs hard... I think Expedia is the biggest one?

Heh, and OTA's thought COVID was a big deal.

Omfg AMEX travel (UK) couldn’t book a SWISS ticket for me today. Each time they held it in, it got cancelled out immediately.

They called LH-Group trade support who said their agreement with Sabre has finished and so AMEX travel can no longer book LH-Group tickets.

Are they mad?? As IF consumers trust them enough to book direct now. Amex has successfully charged back all my Covid-cancelled flights which they booked, however I’m still out £15K from flights I booked directly with LH-Group. I won’t book directly with them, so if they’re going to play this game, I’ll fly another airline.
