Wink SN lauches new loyalty programme 'LOOP'

The way I read it, it will be SN only. Looking forward to more news, as it will be interesting if it will be possible to get miles for both programs one flight. I wouldn't be surprised if miles will be related to the 4 "products" (no M&M miles on the lowest tier, only SN points). Just a guess...

Maybe it will work like 4U's programme... I doubt LH would permit a loyalty programme in which you can get *G for less than 100.000 status miles

Exactly. It'll be something like Boomerang Club, I believe.

I'm thrilled to see Montpellier added to the list of destinations from BRU, my favourite city in France by far.

SN: new destinations, new mileage program!!!

http://brusselsairlines.prezly.com/b...work-expansion

During a press conference today Brussels Airlines CEO Bernard Gustin revealed the new commercial strategy of Brussels Airlines. In recent months, the airline has been working hard on the improvement of its productivity and decreased by 10 percent its cost structure. At the same time the company invested heavily in service and comfort for its passengers. The efforts led to a significant passenger growth, increased passenger satisfaction and improved profitability. This has allowed the company to invest in the expansion of its network. This spring and summer several new routes will be added to the Brussels Airlines schedule. Therefore two additional Airbus A319 aircraft will be added to the fleet over the following months.
In total nine new summer destinations were announced today, as well as two new year-round destinations. It is the largest network expansion in the history of the company. With Ajaccio, Athens, Bari, Bastia, Cagliari, Figari, Malta, Montpellier and Seville, the airline is adding popular summer holiday destinations to its portfolio. The new year-round services to Krakow and Warsaw illustrate a strong investment in the Polish market. The flight frequencies to several existing destinations (Florence, Palermo, Marseille, Catania and Madrid) will also be increased, which results in a total of 400,000 additional seats offered in 2014.
In addition to a network expansion, Brussels Airlines is working on several other projects. Later this year a renewed brusselsairlines.com will be launched, offering passengers even more possibilities and self-service options. The company will also introduce new product formulas to better meet the specific needs of different types of their customers. In addition a new loyalty program will be launched specifically for their European network, which will co-exist next to the current Miles & More program. Finally, in late 2014 the company will open its new airport lounges at Brussels Airport.
“The many innovations disclosed today illustrate our ambitions,” said CEO Bernard Gustin during the press conference. “Brussels Airlines is positioning itself more than ever as an airline with an attractive flight offer for both leisure and business travelers. We will differentiate ourselves through our focus on service, innovation and competitive prices. This is just the beginning of the new and dynamic Brussels Airlines that is adaptable and flexible in a rapidly changing market environment.”

Interesting.
If there is something more rewarding than M&M here could be useful for SN flights? Is this in response perhaps to the LCC expansion aggressively this year into Bruxelles?

Another enhancement !?

After all the enhancements on M&M, very curious what the new FFP is going to look like.
Definitely, they do not target the M&M segment, but the Ryanair / Easyjet / Vueling segment. Therefore, target would be to give some easy advantages to regular flighers even on cheap tarrifs, so rather a kind of "5 % discount on a loyalty card after 10 purchases" as you'd get in a shoe shop.

With this in mind, some guesses

PLUS
* reward (spend) levels lower than what you would need for M&M and linked to the actual price of a b.light / b.flex ticket
* rewards include YQ, just real airport & security taxes need to be paid

NEUTRAL
* credits according to spend € rather than mileage
* silver status after 30 EU flights, Gold after 60 EU flights (b.flex count double) regardless of tarfiff paid

MINUS
*soon on M&M no more credits or counting towards silver status for classes E L K T
* credits only on EU flights
* only lounge access for Gold
* points can be exchanged for upgrades of free flights on SN on EU flights only, no *A link

What's your view?

I guess it will be the same as 4U boomerang: a free flight for 1000€ you spend on the airline.

It's been a year, does anyone have any more news on the SN-only FFP?

I haven't heard of it yet, but I noticed the job vacancy for a Frequent Flyer Programme specialist has recently disappeared from their website... So maybe soon?

Brussels Airlines starting their own frequent flyer program

"It will be a simple system, very transparent"

https://translate.google.com/transla...mma&edit-text=

The article doesn't reveal a lot. And it talks about the LCCs coming to 'Brussels Airlines' (?).

Nice to hear, hopefully it's a good program. Personally I don't like so many of the European airlines using Miles & More for various reasons, but for people looking to move from one program to another after negative changes, more choices are good and M&M is not a great program for average flyers.

I wonder where the miles of the branded credit cards will end up in. Have been saving M&M with it. Will we be able to transfer miles from M&M to it.. etc.
