I am here at MUC. They told us that one person somehow bypassed security so they shut down everything and are re-screening everyone. Almost everyone. Those of us in the FCL are exempt.

I just saw a flight take off so I'm not sure what that means in terms of operations. All domestic flights appear to be cancelled and passengers are being told to take the train. All other flights are delayed.

All aircraft with pax are asked to hold, it seems all parking positions are full awaiting the opening of the terminal. The departures you see are empty aircraft departing to outstations as ferry to make sure the schedule is somewhat maintained should the airport open again later in the day

Goodness- again? I am sure I read a similar thread here recently where a pax had bypassed security.

It seems MUC and FRA have quite a few issues with security. Mrs Merkel needs to apply her legendary “Wir schaffen das” attitude to fix this situation.

Still nothing happening here at the satellite terminal. Hardly any planes taking off on the runway in front of my window. I walked out onto the deck and it was eerily quiet. Not a sound. No movement even from ground vehicles.

My flight just cancelled. But the good staff in the FCL moved me to another flight later this afternoon.

I just saw a bus full of passengers drive by. The first sign of passenger movement from where I sit. There is an LH plane on the tarmac disembarking. It must be awful for the people who have been stuck on the planes.

Well, if a German police officer notices a breach they go into Defcon 3. Other European airport police may be more lenient...

My thoughts exactly. It starts getting embarrasing for MUC!

If someone breaches security at T2, why has then T1 B/C to be closed? Both buildings are quite far away from each other without direct access between terminals.

Is there a shuttle bus in operation between T2 and T1B?

Yes, there is a shuttle bus. IIRC it's clean as well.
