Definitely not my impression, especially in MUC (FRA didn't seem to be a problem) - went with my 3 kids and the LD looked skeptical and about to start the speech about 1 child only thing. We are all *G so I usually have the cards ready to avoid the situation. Once at IAD the dragon told me that I can only bring one kid in and I told her that we are all *G (printed on our BPs) and showed her our cards then she was shocked.

Actually I think that airline(s) should first offer benefits to their own elites and only after that to alliance partners elites.

If we open Star Alliance webpage -- there is NOTHING about that airline should give ANY elite lounges access.
No, just lounge access for *G is granted. As well as priority luggage and 1 pcs of extra luggage on most cases.
Plus priority check.in.
Plus some priority for standby.
There is nothing to complain and should be nothing to complain, if LH/LX/OS finally will do nice move and close SEN lounges for everybody else than SEN (and HON in some airports, where F/HON lounge is not available or for case HON for some, not understandable for me, reason might want to prefer SEN lounge).
And it will be absolute following of Star Alliance rules.

If somebody after that actually "stop flying with LH/LX/OS" -- I still believe, it will not harm anyway those carriers.
Currently we have situation, when SEN lounges are sometimes very very crowded. And before I got my black card, I saw many pax on enter to Sen lounge not with LH/LX/OS logo Senator card, but some else *G card.
Airline should at first give highest respect to own elites!
As they bring most of the income.

And even, if another *A carrier will pay for SEN entrance 10$ more, then anyway by refusing that, final income for LH/LX/OS will be higher. As there will appear very much appreciated benefit for OWN elites.

And by that, once more, ALL requirements of Star Alliance is still met.

By the way you can buy SEN lounge access through lounge buddy - so yeah it's exclusive to paid guest and SEN.

For SENs it is easy: Take all the kids you want, no questions asked.

Ever since Amex acquired loungebuddy the partnership with LH was terminated.

I just assumed anybody over 18 wouldn’t be called “kids”.

Big difference between “kids” and “your kids” (which I didn’t use) here.

Ironically there is precedent for excluding one's own elites whole still allowing for other Star Gold. Unless you're traveling in international business class, you can't use United Clubs even as a United GS. But lowly Agean Star Golds can walk right in on a basic economy ticket.

Hilarious.

As a SEN, I have guested UA super elites into UA clubs on domestic flights, as they don’t get access.

In the age of the internet, where typographical errors exceed the number of stars in the universe, owing mostly to the rather unergonomic nature of smartphone keyboards and the low intelligence of autocorrect, your conclusion is that I can't spell.

Ok.
