Lufthansa - Air India transfer in Delhi
 
Hi there, I am flying from Dallas to Ahmedabad in business class for the first time in Lufthansa. My flight is DAL- FRA- DEL - AMD

I was told at check in that I have to collect my bags and go through customs in Delhi and then submit my bags again to Air India. It wont fly to my final destination. Is that correct ?

Yes you clear customs and immigration in Delhi. The bag is then handed back to AI and you go thru security to the gate for your domestic flight.
