Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is a chance to staff travel in August 2019 from Europe to Singapore with Lufthansa?
But of course, loads for August are still changing.
Does anyone have experience with traveling in the busy summer months to SIN/BKK on staff travel?

It is possible but it all depends on so many factors such as...
Are you staff or relative? Do you or your relative work for Lufthansa or another airline? Is the flight overbooked? Is there a lot of cargo load between these destinations?

All these factors give you more or less chance to be stuck with a stand-by ticket.
Personally, I've never had issues in the summer months to travel long haul. Only the touristy destinations on short haul in Europe are risky to take with staff travel. I've only been stuck once to Africa during Christmas time and from Athens to Brussels during summer time.

I work for the Lufthansa Group. We want to travel to BKK. But BKK is a difficult one. So we fly to SIN instead of BKK. FRA-SIN is operated with the A380, so maybe we can get a chance?

BKK & SIN will be equally busy. That said as LHG employee you have access to a travel portal where you can see some detail on expected loads? Most if not all of us here travel on revenue so you will not get much info on non-rev experiences.
