Unable to book an all-LH flight award online

Trying to book an intra-Europe all-LH flight award on the M&M site, however the whole process repeatedly crashes when it comes to payment - the process freezes with the One moment please,

we are preparing your data for your online payment...


screen. Called the hotline, they told me not to try ASR before the payment process, to no avail - the process crashed again. Now, on the hotline they were unable to offer me the "Fly smart" award, but only the "Flex" award at twice the miles amount. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I was finally able to make the desired booking via the M&M app, however the process also seemingly froze after the "Confirm payment" button was pressed. Then, the One moment please,

we are processing your data and confirm (SIC!) your booking... screen appeared, and that was it. However, a few minutes later a confirmation e-mail landed in my inbox.
