LH452 vs OS81 in economy?
I would like to get an advice on the following:
1. which airline has newer planes on this route below?
2. which airport is easier to use as connection - Munich or Vienna? Connection is 1.30hrs in both options
3. which economy class seat is more comfortable ?
4. which food service is better?
Thanks

2. MUC is one of the best airports in the world and great for connecting
3. thankfully, I haven‘t been in a Y seat long-haul for a while, but 10 across on the 777 is torture (never had 10 across on OS, but EK, and hated it) and remember the LH A380 to be bearable
4. food is generally better on OS, but it is still airplane food and I very much doubt it offsets 1-3

I would avoid any 777 with 10 seats across or 787 with 9 across, no matter how good the food etc might be (unless you are tiny).
The 380 is much less noisy and has a somewhat higher inside air pressure.

I chime in with everyone else. I have taken the LH A380 in Y and I would rate it on par with premium eco product on 777 in terms of comfort. I am so sad that the A380 is only available on a few routes now and has stopped production Fly it in as long as you can!

Many moons ago, I had to do the short hop from MUC DXB on EK at short notice and all that was left was Y. One direction was on an A380 and it was bearable for a day flight (which both of the flight from MUC are), the other direction (day flight again) I literally suffered through the 6 hours on a 777 with 10 across and swore I will never be seen in Y on a 10-across 777 again.
