First time on LOT - what to expect

Flying LOT JFK-WAW-KRK, in Business Class, HON member.

Never flown them before. What can I expect, compared to for instance LH, LX, OS, BA, AF, KL? How does HON protocol differ from LH/LX/OS, on the ground or on board?

I was pretty sure that a similar question had been asked before: HON on LOT - benefits, protocol?

LO is fine, they are pretty nice to all in the business class cabin. No real distinction for SEN.

Also you may be in for a surprise on JFK-WAW: Air Belgium is flying that for LOT with ex Finnair A343 because the 787 are getting engine fixes...

Did you cancel your previous trip to KRK?

Maybe you can come back and tell us this time what happens.

INdeed, last trip never done. And it was different anyway (Y in Europe, this one would be J class on a Trans-Atlantic). So for instance, I'd be interested if they also escort me through security at JFK like LH/LX/OS do

All I know is that they have have people to look after you in WAW. So when you connect, you’ll be driven to the KRK aircraft in some dedicated HON Volvos they have leased or escorted to the gate (pointless). I would be very surprised if they did this at JFK, and remember LOT use the BA terminal, the only European *A carrier to do so. I just can’t see the visual image of some legacy Malgorzata Station Manager type getting off her behind and taking care of premium pax.

Perhaps they will escort you if you’re travelling with Anna Maria Anders!?

Any idea how long this will last? I'm doing the JFK-WAW route in April.

Anybody’s guess territory I’m afraid (787/RR engines fiasco).

I read on the Polish forum for now only 2 aircraft are grounded and one of them should be back to service soon. Will try to add a link on Monday.

EDIT - link to the Polish forum, use Chrome to translate

Did Basia send her premium HON vehicle to pick you up once you arrived in KRK? I thought I saw you sitting in the back, being zoomed away from the Dash...?
