Told them to hold the fries, though, to keep it somewhat healthy.

That looks really good. Is this only in the FCT? Wondering if it'll be in FCL B when I go through it next week.

Very much depends on the time of day. During my last visit, initially all the tables in the restaurant were full and then after the morning wave to the US had departed, the lounge was virtually empty.

Glad your staying healthy & proving it by dropping the Fries, you have no idea what some might allege otherwise

Here is EK FCL Steak offering for comparison

Closing the loop on my original question re choosing FCL vs FCT for a connecting passenger:

I found the FCL that I visited in B was much quieter and brighter (due to better window views) and had apron window views - whereas the FCT was much busier, darker and had no views at all. Food and seating etc were the same.

If I had to do it again I would not bother with the FCT.

FCL B is very nice, all the FCL’s are and as you say seating & all other offerings are of course the same.

FCL B can be much busier than FCT that’s just luck of the draw.

FCL B can be challenging to get to because of the FRA layout & awful transit security.

The views at FCL A & B are much nicer.

Thanks for the report.

I feel the same as you and only go to the FCT in certain situations, when it has real advantages.
