Hate the claustrophobic windowless atmosphere of the SQ F lounge, it's a pretty depressing space.
Haven't been to the UA/TG lounges in years so I don't know which is better. Amex Centurion lounge is an option if you have Amex Cent/Plat.

I have to admit that I would most likely spend most of the time (maybe after eating at the SQ F room) at the UA lounge, because it is kind of open overlooking the terminal. HKG is just not a good place when it comes to *A lounges.

My favorite is United First class lounge. At least it was functioning 2 months ago.
If it really do not exist any more (but I advice to check in the airport), then my next choise should be Thai Lounge.
i never find any good on SQ lounges, not in Singapore and not in HK.

SQ lounge the bathrooms (and showers) have been closed for months, which is a real hassle. UA has closed its F lounges at NRT and LHR . . . not sure about HKG.
Hong Kong lounge situation for *A is seriously inferior to OW . . . .

If you need to spend 2 hours in a lounge then maybe the trek to the SQ lounge is worth it, otherwise I would go to the TG lounge which is just fine for an hour and a lot closer to the B748 gate that LH always gets at the far end of the pier.
I haven't been in HKG on LX in a while - do they still use Plaza Premium for F?

fully agree! I am just wondering why LH group thinks that if they have good offerings on the way out but they don’t need anything at the outstations for the return. I am seriously sick about this „it is not our personnel, our lounges etc,“ for me it is simple - don’t want to do something as it would be costly. But they want people pay for a return ticket but real FCL they only get on one leg.

Here are my experiences in HKG from a few days ago. Check-in was very effective, but escort service through security was not offered. When I asked for it, there was a lengthy discussions between the staff and finally they found one volunteer to accompany me and my family. He apparently did it for the first time and after a longer discussion between him and the security people we had to return from crew line to the normal line, but we managed to get through and were expected airside by a very friendly lady excusing for his failure.
I found the first class box at the SQ lounge not bad. It reminds me on the same section in SYD, but without the tarmac view. Service was very good. On my request the same lady picked us up before boarding and escorted us through the train service and to early boarding.

But that’s currently all there is at HKG
Not looking forward to my next visit in a couple of weeks.
