TG have retained their small F section despite HKG losing F on TG, it’s unchanged, just much quieter since you need to be TG Plat or flying F ex HKG for access.

SQ F lounge, still the J restrooms are out of use, it’s an ok lounge but the lack of windows makes it seem claustrophobic.
Sounds pretty dire.

Will avoid HKG then as much as possible, thanks for the heads up. At least until UA opens the Polaris lounge there.

Any possibilty of that ?
Surely they must use the space from the previous UAGF lounge ?

UA explicitly mentions HKG among the few cities that are supposed to get a Polaris lounge. HKG is in the „in planning“ stage.

To be clear... I’m talking about the Centurion only section of the Centurion lounge with food to order, vintage Champage and is always empty - I’ve only ever seen one other person in there, once.

Depends what you want. When I was in HKG back in June I did the following:
  1. United Club for the showers (when I was there both TG and SQ showers were out of service)
  2. SQ lounge for the food
  3. TG lounge for the space

I have to admit I do not like the well-worn and musty UA Club showers too much.

You've clearly never been to a MLL in Canada have you? At least you didn't have to walk past dirty towels and broken glasses! Granted, the UA Club shower is nowhere near the standards of NH lounges, but then again beggars can't be choosers when you're at HKG!

No schlep! There's a train that will give you door to door service!

Yes, there is the train, they are often overcrowded & seem like they are a mile below Sea level, however as you said, with the very poor options in HKG it’s difficult

I‘ve been to a few lounges including MLLs and the last time I used a shower at the UA Club at HKG I was not impressed. Just because the lounge situation at HKG is so bad does not mean I have to „like“ the showers that are there.

Would I use them? If I had to. Would I enjoy it? No!
