2018 Status requalification race
In the time honored tradtion of previous years, here is the 2018 version.
This was my dead year, so I got to experience a lot of DL/QR/AA business seats to see if the grass is greener and flew a lot of LH on award tickets.
Flightstats incl 2017:
Next week I have *A return to China in CA R (which is the P of CA with only 100%) so you can still add that to the sad 2018 tally below:
2017 M&M Status Requalification Race
2016 M&M Status Requalification Race

95510 as of today, still missing credit for two pre-upgraded longhaul flights. Still 4 *A flights (incl.one TATL) ahead though, so requalification should be OK even without the two missing flights, yet preparing to battle nonetheless.

Finally the last missing segment(s) from mid-November credited yesterday, and I'm Silver now. Although with only 8000 status miles
To wit, I will have flown 68 segments this year (barring irrops on the Christmas trip). Of that, 37(+1) Star alliance, mostly LH group, some LO and 2 Turkish (credited to TK program). The +1 is LH marketed BMI metal which I think doesn't count for earning?
I don't think I'll fly as much next year, so I think I'll concentrate on SkyTeam status, leaving requal for 2019.

My missing Eurowings flights are beginning to credit now. I have one on 28th December, which should give me FTL until 2022 (current status is valid until 2020) and I had one dead year between this year and the one when I qualified until 2020. Just hope that December EW flight credits without a fight (probably sometime in 2019, so we’ll see how that works out).

Another 8 flights to go to year end. That will bring me to 138 flights on *A in 2018 with 400k status miles.
Also will have earned more than 600k HON miles in 2017-18 to renew status.

Still have two more longhaul F flights this year, which should take me to 370k HON Circle Points (and around 300k for this year). I might be able to make a push for HON Circle next year, but too early to tell. Also flew longhaul on SQ, AC, CX, but sadly those don't count. Still also waiting for another longhaul F flight to credit from a few weeks ago...

The HON program is doing what it is designed to do... I don’t know if I’d be going through FRA as much if it weren’t for that, even though LHR and CDG aren’t attractive as alternatives whether with or without GGL or ULT status.

Dead year for me strictly speaking (i.e. program-wise) even though I still managed well over 100 segments (mostly on LOT/Austrian/Croatia) due to work commitments in Sarajevo/Bosnia, however I do remain a SkyTeam boy and did most of my long-haul flights on Alitalia's Magnifica and Air France (Santiago & Buenos Aires above all)

Dead year for SEN status, but ended up doing a fair amount of HON miles, so I guess I’ll reach that at some point in 2019. Getting a bit repetitive in terms of destinations, I’m hoping (work) / aiming (leisure) for more variety next year...
